In other news I just finished Dark Souls 2. That brings my Souls game tally to four out of six of the currently released From Souls games. Demon's Souls (original) Dark Souls Remastered Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin Sekiro I have a save somwhere in the mid-game on Bloodborne so I'm gonna dive back into that. Should be able to finsih that before Elden Ring releases. Doubt if I'll be able to beat Dark Souls 3 before Elden Ring Comes out since I never started it but I will definitely beat it this year. All of this Elden Ring hype has sent me on a Souls game binge. After I beat the Souls games, I'm gonna start tackling some of the Souls likes as well... I plan on getting Horizon Dawn the week before too. But once ER releases, HD will most likely get put on hold. I’ve watched one trailer and briefly skimmed through parts of this thread. It’s not in the “favorite game of all time” discussion like DS1 is for me. But I still really really liked DS2. The initial Day 1 shock and disgust has worn off and it's not like it isn't probably a cool game objectively. I think I had to divorce it from "sequel to my favorite game ever" in my head first. Yes it's not as good as the first, but I think people were kind of overreacting to that disappointment a bit. It's still pretty good. I'm almost near the end of Dark Souls III I think. I'm at the second DLC area, and then I just have to place the final Lord of Cinder soul on the throne which I'm guessing will open up the path to the final area. Is that something that was fixed in the Scholar of the First Sin Edition? That's what I just played and to be honest I didn't notice a real difference in the combat from the first and second games. Was this something that was in the original Dark Souls 2 vanilla edition that they changed later? @JPDunks4 You're playing them all back to back, did you notice this when you played Dark Souls 2 after playing Dark Souls and Demon's Souls remake? No. I borrowed SOTFS and couldn't stand it. I know some people can't feel the difference but it is totally different to me. Game is definitely worth playing if you enjoy the genre. The hardest boss in the game is an optional one.
