TheLeon
I’ve been excited for this movie since it was announced purely because of the talent involved. Gonna be a perfect double feature with Oppenheimer.

TwinIon
That is an amazing trailer. I wasn't really sure if I would be in the demographic for the Barbie movie, despite it being Gerwig, but now I'm pretty sure it's somehow aimed at me? Best
Margot Robbie is absolutely beautiful so it might be worth a watch just to see her.

silentbob
I’m not aching to see it in theatres, but this might be THE MOVIE OF 2023 to get fucking high with friends/family with. Although it didn’t work wth our attempt with CATS. We made it 24mins into a bootleg stream of the movie, and switched over to Into The Spider-Verse (for the HDR colours mainly, again, we were super high)
Brick
If it wasn't for the talent involved I would have no interest in this...but this might just work.
Best
The glimpse of the town or whatever looked really cool tbh. I just don't watch movies anymore but I'm intrigued.
Commissar SFLUFAN
I genuinely liked that trailer a hellva lot more than the (leaked) one for Oppenheimer.

silentbob
It seems too “like totally” know it is, what it is. I’m not going to the theatre to see it, but might be a blast getting high and watching with family/friends at home. I’ll admit, it looks better then I thought it would. Reputator
There's a lot of adult humor in this. It seems oddly not aimed at kids, like at all. EDIT: Ah, well apparently it's PG-13. Still kind of a strange choice given how many very young kids would probably want to see it.

Guest
I don’t remember if I mentioned it, but Gerwig said that while she and Noah Baumbach were writing it that he loved it so much that he started trying to jump in to direct and she had to tell him no. Those are two people I trust to write a great script.

Remarkableriots
The new Barbie movie used so much pink paint on set that it caused an international shortage, according to its production designer WWW.GOOGLE.COM Sarah Greenwood, the production designer on "Barbie," joked that they used so much pink paint on set that "the world ran out of pink." Commissar SFLUFAN
Banned in Vietnam for depicting pro-China propaganda! Vietnam bans Barbie film over disputed map of China’s South China Sea claims | Barbie | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Scene shows map of China’s controversial ‘nine-dash line’ – repudiated in international ruling Quote Vietnam has banned Warner Bros’s Barbie film from domestic distribution over a scene featuring a map that shows China’s unilaterally claimed territory in the South China Sea, state media have reported. The U-shaped “nine-dash line” is used on Chinese maps to illustrate its claims over vast areas of the South China Sea, including swathes of what Vietnam considers its continental shelf, where it has awarded oil concessions. Barbie is the latest movie to be banned in Vietnam for depicting China’s controversial nine-dash line, which was repudiated in an international arbitration ruling by a court in The Hague in 2016. China refuses to recognise the ruling. In 2019, the Vietnamese government pulled DreamWorks’s animated film Abominable and last year it banned Sony’s action movie Uncharted for the same reason. Netflix also removed the Australian spy drama Pine Gap in 2021.
