I don't think the reviewer mindset is right for these types of games. For instance I'm actually enjoying Harold Halibut quite a bit but you have to accept the game for what it is rather than what it's not. I keep hearing, "he walks slow" or it's boring and stuff like that but, for what the game is doing I think Harold's pace is appropriate. As for boring it sounds like a lot of people haven't got past chapter 2 yet. You see some stuff in this game, I'm actually pretty blown away by it.2 points

Yeah, I'll take whatever we can get to get rid of it. That said... Goes back to playing King's Field 2 on Duckstation at 20 FPS2 points

To deal with the GPS jamming, the US is going to provide Ukraine with GPS-seeking bombs: JDAM-ER Winged Bombs With Seekers That Home In On GPS Jammers Headed To Ukraine WWW.TWZ.COM Plans to give Ukraine JDAM-ERs with new seekers come as Western precision-guided munitions are reportedly suffering from Russian GPS jamming. Not sure how useful this is considering Ukrainian bombers can't really even fly at the front line.2 points

Ngl im really digging it. It’s shallow and doesn’t offer much in actual traditional video game play but I think it’s neat as hell. Located the Great White last night. So many marine life to find and I’ve learned so much about them. With my AirPods on, the sound effects are fantastic. Sound of the ocean changes depending on what depth you are at. And it does offer some customization like color of gear and stickers you can put on your scuba guy/girl. It’s not robust but atleast it’s there. AND the background music is sooooo nice and relaxing when doing a solo dive and exploring.1 point

Yea, it’s 3 parts. July for part 1, Thanksgiving Day for part 2, “sometime in 2025” for part 3 (I assume March). Good news is that this season is 50% longer than the others with 15 episodes as opposed to 10.1 point

Time Spent: 30 minutes Rating: ***½ As the black king, you are a one many army wielding a shotgun in a game of chess. You do more damage the closer you are to pieces (which have HP), and can swivel your aim with the right stick. Reloading takes a turn, and multiple enemy pieces can move at once, as indicated by shaking pieces the turn before. Every new floor gives you and your opponent a bonus, out of two selected loadouts. It's super smart, but by round 12, I can only imagine how fucked up the rules would get on both sides. So there's the question of balance, but wow, what a neat game concept.1 point

This has been the worst console generation ever, but these 7 PS5 games have (almost) saved it | Tom's Guide WWW.TOMSGUIDE.COM There have been some bright spots in this console generation Until I saw this article I hadn’t thought of it that way but I kinda think it might be.1 point

No, but Jedi Survivor and Elden Ring alone are enough to be frustrated about. Ideally, a good PC should be able to power through frametime issues present in console releases, not to have even more added on top, no matter your rig. That's what makes the shader stutter issue so egregious. From a value standpoint, console games shouldn't be running smoother than on a PC you spent twice as much on. Yes, there is truth to this. But generally speaking, stutter on consoles tends to be less pronounced and frequent, due to optimizations possible for fixed hardware. It's more the general framerate and fidelity dips that consoles get to deal more with. Though traversal stutters and occasional hitches aren't beyond them.1 point

I kind of want to get a heat pump based water heater after my natural gas unit eventually dies. Super efficient, and would help cool my garage in the summer.1 point

Im in much the same boat where I am more pleased with gaming than ever. And in my brain which I realize makes this an asinine exercise I had split the switch into two different eras I guess. Maybe the heart of this for me is more PlayStation centric where it’s kinda been my go-to machine for more than 25 years and it’s just not that way anymore.1 point

I apologize for what I’ve done. Thought it would be a fun little exercise.1 point

It’s really not even a game. It’s an interactive learning tool that has some video game qualities. I can see reviewers giving it a low score. But I think it’s neat.1 point

I think the question is if this is the weakest CONSOLE generation. Aside from all the Nintendo games, most of the rest of those games are all on PC. I don't think anyone is judging the quality of games as being poor, more the quality of being a console-exclusive gamer. For me, the PS3/X360 is the last generation that really made me want a not-Nintendo console. I didn't really miss consoles during the PS4/XB1 generation and I miss non-Nintendo console gaming even less during this PS5/XSX gen. Hell, I don't even really care for Nintendo console gaming were it not for the ridiculous strength of Nintendo's own games. Price is really the only reason to buy a Sony or Microsoft console these days and that's becoming less true every day.1 point

I really haven't seen anything on the PS5 that couldn't easily have existed in a downgraded form for the PS4 without that much of a significant drop in overall quality.1 point

Saw this last night and it is everything it says on the tin. It's a cheeky, funny, meta, action packed romp. It knows its cues and nails them. The comedy hits, the romantic chemistry is excellent, the stunts are impressive. It never transcends its genre, but it's a very enjoyable celebration of stunts and movie making in a highly entertaining package. Overall just a fun time in the theater. They also get a couple good jabs in at the Academy for not awarding stunt guys, which I appreciated.1 point

I am the author of this game. Thank you very much for posting about it on the forum! I have played both Eye of the beholder, Dungeon Master and Chaos Strikes Back in the 80's. My dream have allways been to create one of these games on my own. Thanks to Unity3D I have fulfilled mn dream. The game is a bit simpler than DM but great fun to play. Unfortunately it's not party based, just one character but it has a lot of puzzles and challenges just like Dungeon Master. The game consists of 11 levels with approximately 6-7 hours of playtime. Thanx again!1 point

It doesn’t matter if Trump wins this election. Eventually, we’re going to get a republican authoritarian president and that will be the end of the current era of American politics (and possibly America itself). Best to just prepare and accept it at this point.1 point
