Commissar SFLUFAN
The extreme heatwaves and wildfires wreaking havoc around the globe are “the face of climate change”, one of the world’s leading climate scientists has declared, with the impacts of global warming now “playing out in real time”

Ricofoley
The was a study that was in a news a few months back that suggested that the technology that exists to pump carbon out of the atmosphere might be able to scale up in a way that's economical, but there would still be the issue of where and how to store all of it

Remarkableriots
https://www.sciencealert.com/scientists-have-announced-a-plan-to-refreeze-the-arctic-and-it-s-wild Quote "The area of the Arctic Ocean is about 107 km2 [3.8 million miles2]. If the wind-powered pumps are to be distributed across 10 percent of that area, this would necessitate about 10 million wind-powered pumps; if distributed across the entire Arctic, about 100 million would be needed. t would require a wind turbine with blades on order 6 metres in diameter [19 feet], with weight on the order of 4,000 kg of steel [8,818 pounds]. To keep this afloat would require the buoy contain a roughly equal weight of steel. As a round number, we estimate about 10,000 kg of steel [22,046 pounds] would be required per device." mclumber1
Nuclear power is the way to go. Combined with solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal, we could completely eliminate fossil fuel use in the lower 48, maybe even Hawaii. Alaska would be trickier though.
