Commissar SFLUFAN
SOMEONE IS ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME! IT'S REAL! (Just ignore the fact that his hand motions on the keyboard and mouse don't sync with the on-screen action or that the image on the monitor looks like it's been superimposed) 1

Bloodporne
The game may be empty and boring at best and non-existent at worst but at least we finally have the Last Of Us game with equippable Lululemon yoga pants we've always needed. Brick
This screams of a developer getting in way over their head, and promising more than they can deliver. It's going to be like No Man's Sky, only without the eventual success after patches fix the game. How the hell did this become one of the most wishlisted games in Steam history? Bot accounts? CitizenVectron
The game has released! Some people streaming it. So far it seems better than expected, at least in the sense that it appears to be a complete game. It's not MMO like advertised, however, it's more like Tarkov or other extraction games.
Mr.Vic20
Fact: the takes in the first 72 hours will be more fun than the game. I look forward to seeing the camps of die-hards and haters solidify. 1

Spawn_of_Apathy
Part of me wants to give the benefit of the doubt that this wasn’t the goal. That when they released that first trailer they honestly thought they could accomplish that. That the money was drying up and their only hope to finish the game was to release it as an “early access”, get some revenue and finish the game, and be the next No Man’s sky or Fallout 76. But nearly everyone refunded and that was it. There was no community.
stepee
Do you have to own the game to review it? With 20k reviews they certainly must have sold a decent amount - I feel they might have gotten at least a couple million off the grift. Not too bad. The developer @FntasticHQ is shutting down and publisher @mytona_official has said it will open up refunds for those who purchased it. The game was rated 2/10 by players. Commissar SFLUFAN
From Steam's most-anticipated MMO to a flop that shuttered a studio in 4 days: the bizarre history of The Day Before | GamesRadar+ WWW.GAMESRADAR.COM The many, many, many problems and promises since The Day Before's reveal Quote The Day Before appears to be officially finished. Though the immediate future of its Steam servers remains unclear, with the abrupt closure of developer Fntastic the strange saga of The Day Before has reached an apparent end that's simultaneously surprising and unsurprising. Even after a disastrous launch for the not-MMO survival game that once topped Steam's wishlist charts, I don't think many people expected the studio to outright shut down within a week. At the same time, the entire game, from its scope to its genre to its very existence, had only become more uncertain since its reveal thanks to strange and mounting setbacks, to the point that many people did expect it to unceremoniously evaporate. There may well have been plenty of people working hard and acting in good faith somewhere in the murky swamp of The Day Before's development and marketing efforts. Perhaps they were among the many volunteers solicited by Fntastic mid-development. If there were, those people were completely obscured by bizarre videos and posts that regularly incited accusations that this was all a scam, and just as many odd statements insisting that no, really, it's not a scam. It is fundamentally sad to see a studio completely wiped out by one failed project, especially smack in the middle of the holiday season. But as one of 2023's highest-profile and most destructive failures, there's a lot more to learn from The Day Before's self-induced implosion. With that in mind, let's unpack and remember the history of The Day Before, from reveal to release to resignation. The Day Before saga, explained: From Steam's most wishlisted game to the end of a studio | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Catching you up on The Day Before's disastrous journey to launch. Quote The survival MMO that once sat at the top of Steam's most-wishlisted games list is crumbling before our eyes. After numerous delays, weirdly confrontational statements, and a trademark dispute with a calendar app, The Day Before finally released last week and its Steam review average almost immediately settled at "overwhelmingly negative." Today, its studio abruptly closed, citing poor financial performance. Still unfolding, this is one of the most surprising things to happen in PC gaming this year. But how did we get here? Let's take a step back and walk through the strange saga of The Day Before.
