This show is great! I just watched episode 7.

Not seeing a whole lot that’s calling my name, which is fine. I have more than enough to play right now, not even counting the full “backlog”.

That sucks. I hated that toward the end of my retail days, where I would show up at 6am and they would send half of us home at 8 when the store opened. Cool, that’s basically a day off, but shit, I’m hourly and living paycheck to paycheck here. Like I don’t exactly love my current job, but I know it’s always going to be there on a set schedule. I’m not making a lot of money, but I’ve recently built up just enough savings that I can almost relax a little.

I hit a point with Cyberpunk where I only had one story mission left, so I went around and did a bunch of side stuff. A lot that felt like filler that didn't really interest me. There are some really good side quest lines with fun characters and interesting stories, but doing a bunch of those in a row got a little boring because there wasn't a lot of the gameplay opportunities that hooked me initially - the game really pops for me when you have a wide hostile area, and you have to stealth/fight your way through it. So I hit this point where my main motivation to do side stuff was to level up to unlock new combat/hacking abilities, but I wasn't really getting a lot of opportunities to use those unlocks, so I sort of lost my motivation to play more. Also, I got a monowire that is really satisfying to use, but it almost trivializes combat. Like 80% of dudes, if I get a sneak attack on them, I just take their head off with one hit.

Learning a lot about my coworkers right now. A supervisor just went off on a totally unprovoked rant about how “a bunch of lesbians are gonna be madder than normal now”.

Yeah, it’s really good. Which makes it a shame (but ultimately not surprising) that it apparently has like half the viewers of the other Marvel D+ shows.

Sounds like some Illusive Man shit.

I’m definitely going to check out the Shadowrun games. I had one my iPad, but it seems like it never got updated to play on newer models.

That’s the tricky thing. If it had fallen off faster, it would be easier to say “watch a couple of seasons and you can bail”. But since some of the best shit in the series is late in season 6, you have to make it that far. And once you’ve made it that far, you might as well stick it out to the (extremely) bitter end.

Instead of finishing anything I was already playing, I had the itch to play a traditional JRPG, so I went back to the FF Pixel Remasters. I lost interest in 2 probably less than halfway through, so I decided to start on 3. I played a little bit of the DS version back in the day, but in my memory that game just moved so slow. One thing I really love about these versions is that everything moves quickly.

I like to spend the day imagining all the freedom I’ll have in my life by never being a dad. A free, meaningless, empty life. What a dream.

It’s worth it. You get watch a mostly great TV show, then you get to complain about the entire franchise for the rest of time.

I thought that was just her cover because she couldn’t be seen talking to a boy like that unless it was a family member. And he threw out a common name for an uncle hoping it was correct.

It should be easy to find someone for this role that’s better than Ezra.

I’ll download it and give it a shot, but I have no nostalgia for TMNT, and very little for beat-em-ups.

Staying at my sister’s house for a few days, and I brought along my Switch. I wasn’t feeling the games I had planned to play, and I would up getting back into Skyward Sword. Luckily I had stopped at a good place, so I wasn’t totally lost. The controls have been discussed to death, so no need to rehash that, but the rest of the game is fun enough that they’re worth putting up with.

I will admire this endeavor from afar. I find it nearly impossible to go back to games of this era without a lot of preexisting nostalgia, and even then it can be tough. I played and enjoyed the original Final Fantasy for the first time last year, but that was the remaster that had a fresh coat of paint and some qol improvements.

I signed up, with a note that I want to be a masked guard, not a contestant.

Getting caught up on the season this morning. This show is fucking insane.

Well, it’s good to know that we safely ignore that stream.
