What can I say? I love going to the movies! When I have a day off, the first thing I do is check to see what's playing near me. And for me it felt like a fairly safe pandemic-era activity, because I usually go early on like a Tuesday afternoon where the place is nearly empty. I didn't see anything with a substantial crowd until maybe No Way Home. Within the next week, I'll see Thor: Love and Thunder for sure, probably The Black Phone, and the long shot is Elvis.

Yeah, I was exaggerating a bit. Collecting the pieces of that song wasn’t too bad. I’m ultimately glad I gave this game a second chance after giving up on the Wii version pretty quickly. I had gotten to maybe the halfway point on Switch last fall and put it down to play something and again, I’m glad I got back into it. I’ll probably finish on my next day off.

Oh cool, I’m back to the same place I’ve been multiple times already, but now it’s underwater! Just what I wanted: an water level collect-athon. Fuck off!

At the very end of the third season, Russian prison guards refer to a prisoner as “the American”. Hopper was pretty much the only person that could have been that made sense. Maybe this was the one time the show decided to be subtle and not show him just in case he didn’t want to come back. The people I know who are most against abortion see it as simply murdering babies, and I don’t know if anything will ever change that. The idea that it’s just another form of birth control is part of what makes it so evil to these people. They build up this idea that all abortions are just loose women having casual sex, and if they get pregnant, “well I’ll just murder this precious gift from God and go skipping along like it’s nothing” and it’s just the worst thing they can imagine. I couldn’t sleep, so I watched the first new episode this morning. I was pretty skeptical about the need for these longer episodes, but it didn’t feel particularly stretched out or anything. Their pacing has been pretty great this season.

Looks promising, but the documentary (The Rescue) is so good, I don't know what they can really get out of telling this story again.

Not all games are worth finishing, including Mario+Rabbids. It’s been years since I played it, but I remember the later stages being pretty annoying.

I’ve never been too concerned with finishing games. When I’m no longer enjoying a game for whatever reason, or if I stop playing one to play something else, that’s fine. Maybe I’ll get back to it, maybe I won’t. Who gives a shit?
