With the recent news about dipping subscriber numbers and lost revenue, will this be the last “blockbuster” Netflix original we see for a while? If they’re looking to hold onto subs, there has to be better ways of spending a quarter billion dollars.

What am I missing here? 15x4=60. Just one $60 game justifies Game Pass Ultimate for 4 months in my book. And more commonly, one $15-20 game a month still makes it worthwhile. The flashiest part of the service is when big games hit it on day one, but the lasting value is all the other shit on there for you to explore. It’s a slow time for big releases across the board, perfect time to dive back into the back catalogue and find something new to play. And people who bought years of it in advance did the conversion trick, right? So they bought a bunch of XBL and paid practically nothing for Game Pass. Dumb “based on a couple tweets” article, but it did its job- I read it and now I’m talking about it.

Well, @best3444, I’ve been bouncing around looking for my next game to really dive into after Elden Ring, and you’ve got me back to exploring Night City. It really is a fun game, and the side content is worth doing. My plan, every time I boot the game up, is to drive straight to the next story mission, but I end up stopping at every side thing along the way. No regrets.

Not a fair comparison. Apex wasn’t built from the ground up exclusively for Switch. Nice try though.

@GameDadGrant Since nobody here works for Activision (except me, obviously), all they can offer is their best guesses. Yes, it is theoretically possible for some studio somewhere to spend years making a brand new, great COD game just for the Switch, really milk the hell out of that ancient hardware, maybe even get a decent multiplayer up and running. There aren’t many exclusive Switch FPSs, it could really clean up! So why hasn’t that happened yet? We can assume that nobody who makes these decisions thinks it’s worth the time/effort. If we ever do see COD on Switch, it’ll probably be something low effort like the mobile version, not what you want.

I guess this is a good time to reveal that I am Bobby Kotick, and there’s no COD on Switch just to spite you. Hope that clears up this issue for good.

Yeah, I have to imagine the number of people who want a COD game and don’t have an Xbox, PlayStation, or gaming PC is pretty low. Even adding the people who have one of those systems and would rather play a COD game on Switch for whatever reason, I don’t imagine that it’s a number high enough to get their attention.

I didn’t keep up with the Netflix shows, but is there any reason they couldn’t just do a new season from where those left off? Just come back in a few years later in the timeline and start telling new stories. If they bring back the same actors, it would be confusing to do anything else, especially since those shows are now on D+.

I lost my first job in high school because the place shut down, so I don’t think that counts as “fired”. I got fired from Radio Shack after two months because I wasn’t selling enough cell phones on contract plans. Didn’t feel bad about losing that one - they sucked.

I never understood the concept of hate-watching something until TROS hit Disney+, where I’ve watched it multiple times. It only gets worse.

The Harry Potter trio all seem pretty chill, despite being international stars from the age of like 9. Although if I’m being honest, I would completely shut down if I was ever in the same room as Emma Watson.
