Got a direct deposit from the IRS this morning. I thought it was some unexpected new stimulus. Completely forgot I still hadn’t received my refund.

Proper hydration is one of my few consistent healthy habits.

I have a cheap Nalgene hard plastic bottle that I take to work. I’ve had that for years now at this point. For home use, I have some big tumbler with a handle and a straw. Don’t know how well it keeps water cold, because I always drain it before that would be a concern.

I understand the hesitation regarding the price of the pro controller, but I wouldn’t bother with the cheaper options. The Pro is an excellent controller. I think it was @Joethat had a thread a while ago about trying a cheaper option and ended up going with the pro eventually.

I went into this movie a little skeptical. I wasn't sure how I would handle this weird, lo-fi, almost mumblecore vision of limbo (or whatever you want to call it). And I did have a hard time connecting to it for the first 20-30 minutes, but eventually I was able to get on its wavelength. And then I melted; I was an emotional wreck by the end. Simply beautiful stuff.

Oh boy, another limited series about a super depressing topic starring Kaitlyn Dever! (bit of a stretch, but just an excuse to recommend Unbelievable on Netflix)

I’m a simpleton that likes watching numbers go up, so I might miss that, but constant boring normal/random encounters is one of the biggest things that will turn me off of an RPG. I would give it a shot.

Really? I haven’t seen that come up in any discussion of this game. I could use some more impressions.

Ugh, I held off on buying this because I remember it gave me a really bad first impression when I played it on Wii (like a full decade ago, crazy) but after a couple of drinks I guess I’m in a mood for second chances. Downloading now, maybe I’ll actually play it soon, but no promises.

I reread the series a few months ago in anticipation. I'm cautiously optimistic.

How long has it been? We’ve been D1P for longer than we were BC, right? It would almost be weird to go back.

That’s the plan. I’m not sure I’ll run through them back to back, but now I’m pretty excited to play them all.

I had a hard time playing games the first half of this year, but in the last month or so I've been able to get back into it. I finished Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, and just now wrapped the pixel remake of FF1 (the first FF game I ever finished!). Now do I move on to another remaster, or actually play something new-ish?

At least with Dark Souls, there's the part where you get to play a fun video game between the esoterica.

Yeah, don't listen to me on movies like this. They simply aren't for me. I keep trying, hoping that maybe they'll eventually click with me... Oh of course, that's the key! Drugs!

Yeah, I was a little surprised as well, but it started to make sense when I broke it down. -there is basically zero story/plot. -most battles are fast and easy. Even bosses up to this point have been shockingly easy. I've only had one Game Over, where an instant death spell hit three of my dudes at once. I never had to stop and grind for EXP or money. -the in-game maps for the dungeons made most of them a lot less of a headache than they could have been. -Add maybe an hour or two to my total if I didn't look at a guide at all, but that would have just been wandering around a world that's ultimately fairly small.
