It seemed a bit of a waste to buy this for my One S, but now that I've got my Series X set up, I'm downloading now. I've been bouncing between a bunch of games recently, but I'm guessing that once I boot up ME1, it'll keep me focused for a while.

I would have preferred a PS5, but months ago I decided I was going to buy whichever I was able to get my hands on first, so no complaints.

Well, maybe my complaining actually worked. I finally was able to get through and place an order. It says it'll be available for pickup on Saturday. This is honestly the 50th time I've tried that.

I just got an alert for the Series X at Best Buy. Some are listed as available at nearby stores, but the cart button say "Please wait". That will quickly turn to "sold out" before I get a chance. It's maddening. And Best Buy is particularly frustrating. They say "every few minutes, we're going to release more inventory" which just keeps you there uselessly refreshing constantly. Just tell me you're sold out so I can move on with my day.

I follow some alerts on Discord, and I might just unsubscribe from those at this point. It feels useless. I hate getting my hopes up like that. It's easier to pretend that these new consoles just don't actually exist.

The Alienist Season 1 - Set in NYC at the end of the 19th century, in a lot of ways it feels like a standard “investigators hunt a serial killer” show. The hook here is that a lot of the techniques they use are considered new and radical, like finding fingerprints, establishing a criminal profile to anticipate the killer’s movements, or letting women and Jews do anything. I enjoyed it, and can recommend it if that sounds interesting, but it never really tipped over into “must see” territory.

That's the simple core of it. What activates that feeling is what is different for everyone, as well as what you want to do when you reach that state. Some people want to relax, and some want to jack it. Who are we to judge?

I went to a couple of doctors last year when I was having similar problems. Ended up having carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists. I was perfect for about 5 months, then started developing these new, slightly different symptoms.

I had no idea that another Ys game was coming, much less that it’s already been on PS4 for months! I’m very slowly making my way through 8.

The mouse is. Pretty much anything that requires a constant grip. I guess I could try just using the keyboard and play some old emulators or something.

All I want to do it play games, but I've had persistent hand/wrist problems, and holding a controller for more than a few minutes can be a problem most days. I can tap on an ipad, so I play games like Hearthstone and Slay the Spire while watching TV, but that's about it.
