  1. My current wallet is kinda in between the old school fat wallet and the slim minimalist. I could probably scale down, since I never really need to carry more than like 3 cards and $20 cash.
  2. The Favourite and The Great (which I still need to finish) offer up some good Hoult.
  3. I’ll give SMT IV another shot before this comes out. I don’t remember much about it, or why it didn’t click with me.
  4. The only reason this is obviously a full price game is because it’s a major Nintendo brand. Look at the Ori games, for example. Those are beautifully made, thoughtfully constructed games that are likely (total guess here) comparable in size and scope to this game, and those were $30. Hollow Knight launched at what, $15-20? Bloodstained was in that range as well. Arguing about what a game is “worth” feels largely pointless, and my perspective might be a little skewed since I almost never pay $50+ for games any more. I’m just saying it’s not completely unreasonable to look at that trailer and think that game would/should be less than full price.
  5. Bummed that the first new Advance Wars in over a decade is a remake, but I’ll take what I can get.
  6. I own SMTIV, but never really got into it. That looked good, but I’ll probably skip it.
  7. WarioWare on my birthday. Loved those games back in the day, but don’t know if I need that now.
  8. Ah yes, the fifth Metroid game. Wasn’t Dread the code name for a Metroid game that never came out?
  9. Tuned in just in time for Mario Party. What a boner-killer.
  10. There's something special about they way they talk on that show. I can't quite put my finger on it...
  11. I've been slowly rewatching Deadwood. That is some prime 1870's classy filth.
  12. Got one notification for the reaction (it doesn’t specify what kind) then one notification for the quote. I only see a heart (how sweet).
  13. I want to give a quick shout-out to Mythic Quest season 2. They broke format two weeks ago to do an entire episode in flashback, like they did for a standout episode in season 1. But this time, instead of being just a one-off, it tied directly into the following episode, making for an unconventional but really satisfying two-parter. F. Murray Abraham is incredible in the most recent ep.
  14. Only if in between season 1 and 2 they completely change how guns work.
  15. I've had my share of acquaintances over the years, but very few people that I would call true friends.
  16. Ended up watching it this morning. A ton of fun, but I've seen it on stage and listened to the cast album a lot, so there were some changes that were really jarring to me. I understand you need to make some changes in the adaptation process, but some of them didn't make any sense. That said, if my sister and her family end up going to the theater to see it, I'll gladly see it again with them.
  17. None. I'm not against them, but they just don't fit my (lack of) personality.
  18. I think this looks exactly as good as the original.
  19. He started in the early days of YouTube doing pretty much straightforward comedic songs, an awkward teen seated in front of a keyboard, but has definitely evolved beyond that. The finale of his previous special, Make Happy, is probably my favorite single piece of his. I watch it all the time. And this special is largely taking that energy, that mix of silliness, theatrical self-importance, and deep insecurity, and trying to replicate it while spending a year in isolation (after taking years off of live performance). Just a little context if this special is your introduction to him. It’s definitely not for everyone.
