Joe Lieberman has died

As Al Gore’s Democratic running mate in 2000, he was the first Jewish candidate on the national ticket of a major party.

 

Lieberman was a former Senator, big Iraq War advocate (and endorsed John McCain in 2008 partly due to that and his friendship to him), and Democratic VP candidate in 2000.

Single handedly killed the public option and probably even the lowering of the Medicare age to 55 and this whole thing poisoned the politics for the next decade. May he rot in hell filling our more insurance forms for a 60 year old with untreated COPD

I'll be honest, when no labels popped up with him running it I was surprised he was still alive.  I thought it was older when he was Gore's running mate, I found out right before I posted that picture that he hadn't cracked 60 at that point yet.
