Leandro Mathias de Novaes took concealed firearm into hospital where machine's magnetic field set it off

Quote

Leandro Mathias de Novaes was taking his mother for a scan at the Laboratorio Cura in Sao Paulo in January and entered the facility with a concealed handgun.

Despite warnings from staff to remove jewellery and metal objects in the MRI room, Mr Mathias kept his weapon on his waistband.

The magnetic field from the machine was so strong that the weapon was pulled from his waist and fired off a round, which hit him in his stomach.

This seems like a good idea for a weapon, like some sort of magnetic canon that you can fire where enemies are hidden and make their guns/tanks/etc go off when they're not ready or disabling them.

Or like imagine rolling some magnetic ball to the battlefield and making everyone miss their shots because of it's influence. You could disable a sniper's abilities.

Maybe too much scifi for me.

Can you imagine being a second amendment supporter at this point in your life? It’s more embarrassing than randomly shitting yourself or falling into open manhole covers.

Admittedly, building an entire personality around any amendment is cringe. Imagine someone with a closet full of 21st amendment shirts, bumperstickers saying '21A supporter: keep your hands off my vodka', and went into angry rants every time someone got a DUI about how this 'is an infringement of the God given 21st amendment and muh freedoms'.

Some other second amendment supporters embarrass me more than being a second amendment supporter. :P

I’m suing the magnetic field for infringing on this man’s second amendment rights.

He brought a gun into the MRI's room and the MRI successfully held its ground and neutralized the threat.
