Without having seen all of them I think they stopped being good past the 3rd movie.

Pretty much this some of the others were ok but the first 3 are the ones you need to watch.

I am excited about this Pinhead + Malice Mizer summed up my High School style and Clive Barker being back on board is exciting! Though I don't know if I am prepared for a female Pinhead 🥵

Are the Hellraiser movies worth watching now? Never saw any of them. Before googling, I would have said there were 3 Hellraiser movies. Little did I know there were 10

I think the first one is essential, the second one pretty good and everything else best forgotten. Maybe Hellraiser 3 is cheesy fun, I only watched it twice and thought it sucked both times, but the first one especially has this eccentric, more artsy flair than your average Horror flick that I always thought made the movie what it is. It's a cliche yeah, but I'd still recommend reading The Hellbound Heart. It's only about 120 pages and amazing.

I have zero interest in a remake so they could cast my cat to play Pinhead and I'd be cool with it.

This time of year? Yeah they’re all worth watching. Are they good? Fuck no, but all of them are at least fun.

Oddly enough I really liked the one with the dude who plays the QB in The Program playing the detective. It’s plays out more like a thriller/mystery than the rest. I have no idea why but I always really enjoyed that one.

I believe that's Hellraiser: Inferno? I remember this one being far less shitty than the other faceless sequels and vaguely enjoyable.

Yeah I think I remember it had a kind of a Jacobs Ladder/Lovecraftian thing going on where the detective keeps seeing things no one else does. Pinhead doesn’t show up until the very literal end of the movie I think.

Yea that's what I liked about it exactly. It was like a straight to DVD Jacob's Ladder but in an entertaining way.

I think I'll definitely check out the first 3 soon. The wife and I are finishing up all the Nightmare on Elm St movies right now (man did those take a dive after the first 3 :/ ).

I noticed the 8th movie- Hellraiser: Hellworld stars renowned gamer Henry Cavill. Description sounds pretty garbage. "Gamers who participate in an online role-playing game (MMORPG) are invited to a rave whose host plans to show them all the truth behind the Cenobite mythos."  Maybe watch the first 3 and then throw that in for a laugh.

I just went to the wiki page because I kind of forgot what these movies were about, but I saw this...

'In an interview, Doug Bradley stated that in 2002 Dimension Films received two scripts for a crossover featuring both Pinhead and Michael Myers, the antagonist of the Halloween series. One of the pitches involved Michael Myers opening the Lament Configuration as a child and being possessed by Samhain fleeing from Hell, and the Cenobites pursuing him in the present day. Although Dimension Films initially turned the project down because it believed the upcoming film Freddy vs. Jason would fail.'

That would've been interesting!

Yep, Ill check that out. Can’t be worse than the one in space right?

The space one wasn't so bad. It just had typical "early 90's studio hands" ruining the original narrative - which is actually a pretty decent read if you download the script. The question is, will this new one be as bad as everything after the Hellraiser franchise left theaters?
