For PlayStation titles, I purchase a digital PlayStation Store gift card in the amount of the game (or as close to it as possible) and send them the code in a PM. Because Sony no longer sells digital codes for its games through third-party vendors and STILL DOES NOT ALLOW GIFTING LIKE EVERY OTHER DIGITAL STOREFRONT HAS DONE FOR YEARS, I'll send you a PlayStation Store digital code that you can use for the game.
