  1. Shows as "unavailable" when trying to grab either base game or director's cut. Server problems?
  2. Oh hell yeah, the PC version supports DualSense! That was one of the reasons I ended up playing the first game on PS5 over PC. Even though my PC could pump out higher performance/fidelity, the DualSense features won me over completely. Feeling the rat hoards pitter-patter around on your fingertips truly cranks up the immersion factor and is quite freaky!
  3. I've got The Blair Witch Project and Visage lined up. Going try out both this weekend.
  4. Damn, this thread is getting me nostalgic for Prey. Might be time for a replay...
  5. Have you tried Redout? It's from the same devs as the original Wipeout games I believe. Quite fun!
  6. My workaround for this has been to quickly toggle Instant Game Response mode off then back on. Seemed to do the trick 99% of the time, but still very annoying. Gonna update my firmware now!
  7. Got my Steam gift card as well. Thank you so much!! BLESS THIS MAN!
  8. Bless your soul! I don't think I've won anything before 😅 Thank you!
  9. Oh wow! Is it too late to claim this prize? Would it be possible to get a steam gift card? I'm Morph89 on steam as well. Mainly looking to nab Sekiro but there are one or two smaller titles I might bite on.
  10. What sort of FPS are you getting? I'm running 4K HDR/Ultra and getting about 45fps when I step out into that downtown area right outside V's apt during the day (where you sit down to have lunch). My specs are: i7 4770K @4Ghz RTX 3090 32GB DDR3 Samsung 960 Pro NVMe SSD (game drive) RTX on + DLSS on Auto/Performance. If I disable RTX I get about 65-70 in the same area. Does that seem right?
  11. Congrats! Was that direct from the ASUS site? Every time I got a notification they were in stock, the site would be slow as molasses, then speed up again as soon as they were sold out.
  12. Hmm, after looking a little more into it, it sounds like HDMI 2.1 VRR range is 40-120Hz. If frames drop below that range with FreeSync, AMD low framerate compensation kicks in. Not sure if LFC will work with HDMI 2.1 VRR or if that's G-Sync/FreeSync only...
  13. VERY tempted by AMD's offerings considering it's still nearly impossible to get an RTX 3000 card for a reasonable price. However, two big drawbacks for me are 1) no DLSS/equivalent at the moment and 2) LG is not bringing FreeSync support to their 2019 OLEDs, just their 2020 models.
  14. I will never understand 30fps VR trailers. Like, cut scenes are one thing, but gameplay footage?
  15. I went from a 40" 4K monitor to a 55" LG C9 OLED. Not gonna lie, it took about a week to get used to the added height. It felt ridiculous that entire week, then it suddenly 'clicked' and has been just absolutely amazing since. I was kicking myself at first because I knew the 48" CX would be coming out this year, but I was desperate to upgrade. Now that I'm used to the 55" though, I have zero desire to go for anything smaller! As others stated, just take some basic steps to avoid screen burn-in. I'm one year deep so far with absolutely zero complaints. Well, my only complaint is that I don't have a HDMI 2.1 GPU to experience its 4K/120 glory, and it doesn't seem like that's going to change anytime soon!
  16. Would a 650W PSU realistically be sufficient? The 3080 and 3090 are absolute power hogs (the 3090's 'minimum' is 750W, but tests have shown system power draws spike well past that).
  17. Oh I know, but if stock is so constrained right now, Nvidia might be banking on people buying the 3090 out of desperation. It's cynical and I hope I'm wrong, but if Nvidia can only make lets say 10,000 cards right now--it's in their best interest to sell as many of those at double the price as possible. Scalping and low inventory are gonna drive the cost of the 3080 up to $1K+ anyway, so might as well sell them at an inflated price.
  18. Ugh, almost seems like that's kind of the point...if they're essentially the same chip, I'm sure Nvidia would prefer to sell the that's double the price.
