I live in a Geo-politically interesting area as Cornell is a liberal bastion surrounded by nothing but redneck farm land, its a purple tornado if you will. I see the rednecks ignoring the state law as a point of pride and the liberals doing it because they are not missing the little jimmy's X birthday party or other such excuses! Either way, most people have stopped wearing masks where I live so I look like the lone leper wearing a mask at the corner grocery store on the occasion that I need to go. Sad really. For one reason or another, it seems to me that many Americans believe themselves to be above rules. Perhaps this is the "rebel" nature our European counterparts are always talking about? Embarrassing.

Oh, I didn't say it would be pretty, just that humans and Earth are a lot more durable than people think.

Steady now, Earth has seen a lot of Hell over the years, and nothing has stopped it yet. Trying times, yes. But for better or for worse, the Human race and its poor parent planet will linger on.

A thing I like to remind myself of, from time to time, is that technology gives us a God's eyes and ears, but no other powers. Do what you can, as best you can, and be at peace with that as much as you can.

I've been hooked since I paid nearly 100 dollar for a "mainland" Chinese (had English subtitles/menus as an option) copy of Demon's Souls back during the PS3 days! I enjoy the series because its not about the difficulty, its about perseverance equaling progress. I am NOT a git gud gamer, but I enjoy taking the game play from a feeling of being totally outclassed and threatened at every turn to padding through these deadly worlds like they were my hunting grounds. Certainly there are player much better than me that can ace the bosses with finesse, and at much lower levels. But its a testament to the series that players of such differing skill levels can still progress and complete these games.

My son and I have been having a great time with it! Its easy to jump into, pretty for a minecraft game, and the co-op is excellent! My neighbor and his son will be hoping into a 4 player session with us this weekend, should be a good time for the kids!
