This ‘not a full game” stuff is so absurd to me. It is the whole game, that makes it a full game. Its not as long as the original, but im positive it will be just as fun to play. Its still a whole experience. Some of the best games ive played were sub-10 hours.

I'm sure there's plenty of content, and it's going to be great, but even Insomniac has said it's a standalone expansion. Similar it other games that have done similar.

@crispy4000 to the rescue!

Naw, I'd say that $80 would be unfair today, given how much more devs lean in with microtransactions and digital special editions now.  They've opened that revenue stream up in a big way.  It was still in its infancy during the last price hike two generations ago.

Games would cost closer to $80 today with inflation accounted for.  $70 is still a $10 offset, but it's paid for with nickles and dimes.

Miles Morales is 50 dollars, not 60 let alone 70. You’re not being charged like it’s a “full game” so idk why some are complaining.

And that's part of what I'm saying; it's not a full priced game because it's not even a full game, it's just a standalone expansion, a good sized one mind you, but it is basically just a smaller game to whet our appetite for the true sequel to Spider-Man, and there's nothing wrong with that! Let me be clear, I'm not knocking it at all, but really it, and Demon's Souls, which is a remake, are the only big 1st party titles launching for PS5. There isn't a killer app that's a must have like Halo was for Xbox, or Breath of the Wild was for Switch. Yet people are worried that they're not going to get a PS5 on day one...so? Relax guys, you don't need it the very second it's available. Nothing is going away if you can't get one right away. You can get it later. I can understand if you're getting it for someone else, like a child as a Christmas gift, but if it's just for yourself I think you can wait. I just don't understand this need to get a new console right away.

So if I decided suddenly that I want this thing because of backwards compat, I'm probably shit outta luck for a while, right? Sold out everywhere for a bit I assume?

IF I'm able to get mine from Wal-Mart, you can paypal me for my Amazon-Germany one and I'll ship it over to your address instead.

I believe Wal Mart is gonna have three rounds of them available at different times on launch day.

Target B2G1 starts Nov 8th through 14th so if you are buying Miles Morales and Demon Souls, you can pick up a free game.

Looks like both those games and a few others won't be part of the B2G1. Waiting until payday to buy a few games so maybe that will change. Godfall seems like the only PS5 game i could find that would work so far.

Need doesn't  factor into it. Most of us just want  them.

and again, the “its not a full game” stuff is absurd. Its 9-10 hours. Its not a long game, but it is a whole game.

I think Lost Legacy is better than Uncharted 4. Its also short, but I definitely think its a whole game.

hell, it only took about 10 hours to beat the each of the PS3 uncharted games, and they were considered masterpieces at the time. LoU took about 12 hours. Also a masterpiece.
I mean people shouldnt buy things they dont want, but I just find it weird you keep going in on the nit a full game thing.

Well my bet paid off. I'm now picking up my PS5 on Saturday. At $500 for the Digital unit that is $149 back in store points (which I can use at their grocery stores). If I had gone for the regular system it would have been $189 back in points. :sun:

-note-

For SDM, the setup was you  pre-ordered the unit online and pick what store you wanted your system sent to. Then on launch day you have 7 days to pick up and play for the reserved unit.
