I dont see  him letting this go for a long time. This will be a theme to continuously attack democrats and the liberal media.

It’s Trump, by the end of the week there’s going to be something else he’ll fixate on. Last week it was pissing on McCain’s grave, by the end of the week he’ll be agreeing with Bibi that Hitler didn’t want to exterminate the Jews.

So? It's not a strategy that's helped him, and the Russia investigation polled consistently as an issue voters were least concerned with. Trump shutting down the government, tax cuts, and Healthcare are far more important on people's minds and lives.

This is one of those topics that the general public cares much less than politically focused news would lead someone to conclude.

The problem is this enforces his narrative that the liberal MSM cant be trusted...and to a degree, hes not wrong. They harped on this daily for 2 years. There was wild speculation and dots that were connected that seemed to not actually exist.

He has been consistent since he started running that the liberal MSM media is fake news. He hasn't quit on that message and hes not going to.

And no matter the results of the investigation he wouldn't quit on that message. This line of attack on the media is priced in. That's all he has.

The end of the Muller phase of the investigation is bad for him because now that the "witch hunt" is over, it is easier for candidates to deflect and move on to actual issues that people care about, like health care, the economy/tax policy/income inequality.

but if the results were even remotely close to what the MSM had made it sound like, their credibility would've been upheld. As it stands, it was all bullshit for 2 years. It reinforces trump and discredits the MSM (and the MSM is definitely liberal-biased).

In the age of the evergreen liar POTUS 45, reality really does have a liberal bias.

That's what I've been thinking, how the news is creating and empowering DJT.

The big news outlets gave Trump billions of dollars worth of prime air time to run his rallies in their entirety and basically not fact check any of his lies. He gave them ratings both by fans and hate watchers. They are collectively culpable for this happening.

When the liberal bias is wrong, it's wrong for two years. It's like Ann Coulter somehow is the only one who knows what's going on:

The only way to beat him is with things you can do, not with things you hope happen to him that others do.

Remember when "release the memo" happened? This is starting to remind me of it more and more.

Republicans claimed part of the reason the FISA warrant for Carter Paige was improper was because the judge deciding things was not told that Hillary Clinton, in part, funded the Steele Dossier.

Then then Dems released their response and it was revealed that the judge was told that a candidate for U.S. president funded the dossier. Literally the Republicans were basing that whole attack on the fact that they didn't specifically type in the name Hillary Clinton.

Keep in mind how fine a hair Republicans will split on facts to reach their desired outcome before coming to conclusions without seeing the underlying evidence.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not sure that this would be a good strategy. Pointing out that he didn't get the wall built, for instance, would only lead Trump to point out that the Democrats have been the ones blocking his progress there. Does that really change anyone's mind?

Remember when the FBI twice cleared Hillary of wrongdoing after constant media coverage?

How can the news media not report on an active special counsel investigation for the length of said investigation?

It went beyond just reporting on it. They were wildly speculative in regards to connections and actions that seemed to absolutely ensure there was collusion.

Wild speculation? Jr. tweeted out his own emails showing that he thought he was meeting with a Russian government official to get dirt on Hillary. Manafort handed over campaign data to Kilimnik while still part of the campaign. Even if it's somehow true that they were ultimately too incompetent to pull it off, there was clearly active intent to conspire with the Russian government.

Beyond that though, Barr is simply wrong that it doesn't count if they were technically private Russian citizens and not Russian government officials.
