I am the author of this game. Thank you very much for posting about it on the forum! I have played both Eye of the beholder, Dungeon Master and Chaos Strikes Back in the 80's. My dream have allways been to create one of these games on my own. Thanks to Unity3D I have fulfilled mn dream. The game is a bit simpler than DM but great fun to play. Unfortunately it's not party based, just one character but it has a lot of puzzles and challenges just like Dungeon Master. The game consists of 11 levels with approximately 6-7 hours of playtime. Saw this last night and it is everything it says on the tin. It's a cheeky, funny, meta, action packed romp. It knows its cues and nails them. The comedy hits, the romantic chemistry is excellent, the stunts are impressive. It never transcends its genre, but it's a very enjoyable celebration of stunts and movie making in a highly entertaining package. Overall just a fun time in the theater. They also get a couple good jabs in at the Academy for not awarding stunt guys, which I appreciated.

Nah, Skillz said it might be the most stacked, and you had said you thought TOTK would sweep but not to sleep on Baldur's Gate (which I think was a good assessment at the time). Then I said my post. We just came off of one of the all time great gamning years in 2023... how in GOD'S NAME is this the worse generation since before the NES? Clickity Clickty Bait Bait.

DeS just looks so fantastic. Despite it being a remake, it's been the only PS5 game that got close to making the PS5 seem like a real next-gen console. Or maybe it is because it is a remake and I played the OG that I feel the way that I do. Not only is it the best looking, it has the best performance out of all of my PS5 games as well.

Oh yeah, we did finish this the other night. 10/10, just about as perfect as you can get. It really did the book justice. Even better with how it portrayed Japanese culture.

So you think the prior years -- meaning, like going to back to 2020 -- were "bleak?" 2020 was bleak in terms of the world, but gaming was an incredible bright spot in a stacked year.

2023 had some high highs but overall pretty weak imo. The prior few years I’m comfortable saying they were fairly bleak especially again considering the pace of bangers leading up to that point for like 20 years. edit: meant to say 2022 was weak

DeS is sooooo good, but I don't see how it's more impressive than Spider-Man 2. Being able to traverse the world that quickly with very little pop-in, plus instantly fast travel to a street block on the map, not to mention the incredible effects of something like the Sandman fight done in an open world, are things that just wouldn't work on the PS4.

Demon's Souls is still the most impressive console game this generation.

I guess if you're a Sony-Only Pony then he's right. Luckily I have the luxury of not limiting myself to one gaming platform, so the idea of generations is pretty meaningless these days.

Finally starting Eiyuden Chronicles. Backed it on Kickstarter for the Switch, but I'm opting to play on PC via Game Pass. This game seriously feels like an old PS1 game with only a few QoL tweaks. I'm really enjoying my time. It really does feel like a new Suikoden and that's all I wanted.

Well, it's been a whole year since Redfall was unleashed upon the public, so let's check-in on how it's doing, shall we? Oh dear...well, surely they've released at least one of the two promised DLC characters that were sold as part of the deluxe Bite Back Edition and are still being sold as an upgrade to the base game. What's that? They haven't released even one of those characters? Oh my goodness! Alright, well what about that offline mode? They must've gotten that out the door, right? Oh...oh no

A couple of years ago, a Rockstar Games developer spoke off the record to one of the gaming websites about how the development of GTA VI was going and they said that one of the toughest parts was coming up ridiculous parody/satire in an age where America routinely satirizes/parodies itself in ways that they could never possibly top.
