High taxes are absolutely the biggest reason by far though. And with good reason, if I had a business in Cali, I’d move too.

 

Here in Nevada, there is no income tax, and the sales tax is around 8.25%.  When I lived in CA, I was military so I didn't have to worry about income tax there, as I was still a WA resident.  I'd love to live in San Diego again, but the taxes are definitely a killer.

I think this really illustrates the frog in the boiling water problem that climate change represents. I think that stat speaks for itself, but the sense I get is that the way this is being covered in the news, especially while it's competing with COVID and the convention, is just kinda like, "Oh yeah, it's fire season again"

California is a pretty big state BTW.

 

It is big! But there are increasing problems pretty much everywhere across the state. And even if we just talk fires, the effect of those can be significant in multiple ways.
