Well, we know it looks really good visually. I wish we'd gotten some gameplay though.

It’s super odd that they did this, given that their last trailer at least had more… walking.

I know it’ll be great still.  Just wish we could see how they’re changing up the combat.

A big part of what made the original great was its focus on mental health that was well researched and handled with respect, I do hope it doesn’t lose that aspect completely in its new role as AAA Xbox graphics porn.

Aren't they kinda a completely different genre? And I'm hyped for this but there is no way it will be better than Ragnarok.

With more of a combat focus they are close enough especially since both deal with Nordic themes. I don’t think GOWR is THAT high of a bar to clear especially if a game manages to be less bloated and more focused.

You're correct in the bloated part. It will be interesting and it looks so freakin impressive visually.

God of War: Ragnarok and Hellblade are nothing alike. God of War is a game with a lot of gameplay, Hellblade was a 7 hour experience with some mild combat thrown in. It's like saying Alan Wake II and RE4 are similar. Really looking forward to this either way.

Im sure this will be much longer and from what was shown at the game awards it’s obviously going to have a lot more combat. And we have already seen an epic scale enemy that looked more GOW than the recent GOW’s. I don’t expect them to be exactly the same type of game, but they will definitely be a lot closer than the previous game which probably didn’t have 1/10th the budget this does.

But mostly, just meant they are both AAA platform exclusive Nordic based games and I bet this one lives up more to my sequel expectations!

Also Hellblade was my goty 2017 and GoW was my goty 2018, so!

Well I was wrong about it being much longer! I thought with the lengthy dev cycle that was a given but apparently it’s the same length as the first one. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with that, but I am surprised it took so long considering that scale.

Still the front runner for GOTY24 and that date is freakin awesome, I thought end of the year.

He was involved in the early stages of Senua's Saga: Hellblade II's development.

Meanwhile, they also just lost their main director/writer on their projects - hope this does well so they get to keep making games like this despite that set back.

Wan't he supposed to be kind of a douche?
