    Nice, another enormous RPG to play this year. I really enjoyed the first one, though I did mod it to have a dot while aiming and easier saves.

    I just replayed DD1 including Dark Arisen earlier this year. Bitterblack Isle is definitely a lot tougher than the base game. It's very good though, dives deep into the lore, and has really good gear, though it can be grindy to get the best gear. It was actually my third time through, having done everything on Xbox 360 when it first came out and again when it released on PC. This last time I did NG+ so I didn't have to grind for the best gear and could just replay it.

    I already put an hour into the character creator on a pawn. It's very in depth and even let's you change the direction and kind of lighting so you can see better how they will actually look in game.

    I was kind of annoyed that they broke bows and daggers apart, but now it looks like you'll be able to have two vocations at the same time, letting you mix and match. That looks really cool.

    Humble is apparently having issues with the keys for this and can't issue me one. I bought it through them a week ago since I could get 20% off. Hopefully they get the problem fixed quick.

    ES6, I loved both Oblivion and Skyrim. GTA doesn't interest me. I've never actually played a GTA game due to my complete lack of interest.

    It's very weird that We Happy Few is just now coming to gamepass.

    That's why I still haven't gotten to it. Every time I've thought about playing it I decided I wasn't in the mood for such a dark game.

    Digital Foundry testing has shown that pretty much every PCIE 4 NVME SSD works with the PS5, even ones that give a warning. This will probably be just fine, but you can always return it if it doesn't work.

    With this release date I now have 5 Japanese made RPGs to play in the first 4 months of next year. Like a Dragon IW, FF7 Rebirth, Persona 3 remake, Dragon's Dogma 2, and this. That makes early 2024 one of the best starts of a year ever for me video game wise. I'm not sure whether I'll play this or Persona first. The other 3 will be played as they release, or as close as possible as I finish them. I might go for this, since I backed it. It also might be shorter than P3.

    $30 is the price I was waiting on for Ragnarok, bought.

    I bought it, but I was going to let it sit and cook for a few more months before playing it anway, because that's just what you should do with a modern CRPG. Even Baldur's Gate 3 has had significant changes and improvements since release, and it was considered fairly polished.

    This. I never play any ironman, permadeath modes. They aren't fun for me.

    If you open the transfer screen, X on controller when looking at a container or body, you can see all the details and compare weapons etc. before picking them up.

    No, I've just been extending it via 3 month gold cards from CDKeys. The last time a bought a few they were $11 each, which is less than $7 a month.

    I don't know how it works if you let Gamepass lapse and try the conversion, but a 3 month Gold card gives you 50 days of Ultimate if you add it to your subscription. At least it still did a month or two ago. Edit: you get a better conversion rate with the 3 month cards than the 12 month cards.

    The parallel world is kind of strange, since the first game made it very clear that you were just exploring one small country in a much larger world. Especially since it seems like all of the characters and everything are different from the first game. That said, I'm all in for this game.

    This just showed up on Gamepass. I barely resisted getting it over the weekend on sale, now I'm glad I did.

    I just did the same for the same reason. I never played Remake, so both games for $63 sounds good.

    It looks like they actually changed almost everything except for the exterior design.

    The Starbreeze from The Darkness is now Machine Games, more or less. I am very interested in this game, but it will have to wait for a sale, just because I have too many other games I'm trying to get through already.

    I'm hopeful for the new thing. I skipped the Switch, so if this has back compat and ends up being decent I'll probably get it and go back to the handful of games I'd want to get to.
