gamer.tv
It’s almost funny they’ve let Cummings have this platform. A spin doctor who is allowed to be entirely candid about the last year of a government which have recently sacked him. On brighter news, I get my first dose next Wednesday. Personally, I think the Constitutional Parliamentary system in the UK (and Canada, etc) is maybe the best modern form of government. So hopefully anyone that ditches the Queen (which is a good thing!) still keeps the overall system, and just replaces her as head of state with someone local and appointed for long-terms (similar to local Governors General in the Commonwealth countries). Commissar SFLUFAN
Ireland starts making contingency plans for UK trade war with EU | Brexit | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Irish deputy PM says UK triggering article 16 would precipitate collapse in relations with EU Quote Ireland has begun making contingency plans for a possible trade war between the EU and the UK in the event that Boris Johnson walks away from the Northern Ireland Brexit protocol. Ireland’s deputy prime minister, Leo Varadkar, also confirmed that suspending the trade deal struck by Lord Frost last December was the EU’s likely response should the UK trigger article 16 of the protocol. He told RTE News at One on Tuesday that such a move would in effect undo the entire Brexit deal and precipitate a collapse in relations with the EU. After a meeting at the White House, the European Commission president said the US president was in agreement with the bloc that Johnson should not upend the tortuously negotiated Northern Ireland protocol. Commissar SFLUFAN
Boris Johnson praises Peppa Pig and loses place in rambling speech | Boris Johnson | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM PM also compared himself to Moses and imitated noise of car in speech to business leaders Quote Boris Johnson criticised the creativity of civil servants for not conceiving of the children’s cartoon character Peppa Pig, as he gave a rambling speech to business leaders in north-east England in which he also compared himself to Moses and imitated the noise of an accelerating car. Speaking at the annual Confederation for British Industry conference, the prime minister meandered through a variety of topics – confirming the announcement trailed overnight by Downing Street that new regulations for developers will force them to install electric vehicle charging points and heralding the start of a new green industrial revolution. However, he also became distracted at points, asking business executives to raise their hand if they had been to Peppa Pig World in Hampshire, where he reportedly took his son, Wilf, with wife Carrie over the weekend.

I think we need to change ‘British people’ to ‘people that continue to vote Tory despite the last two years of evidence against their governance’, which rolls off the tongue. gamer.tv
More picture leaks of various Downing Street gatherings. The latest, a ‘staff meeting’ during the UK lockdown which shows the PM and his wife (and about 15 people) having wine and cheese at Downing Street. I feel like Dominic Cummins will probably send an anonymous mass email with a pre-written ‘Vote of No Confidence’ letter from the same email account he’s been using to leak these images to the press. Sad news is, without a general election there isn’t any candidates worth stepping up, maybe Sajid Javid, but even then…
