Ill only ever play story mode, mostly, because im just not very good at fighting games (except Eternal Champions, I'll mess y'all up in EC! Lol), but I do love going through this stuff. Hopefully they take some lessons from Mortal Kombat XI and Guilty Gear Strive. Those games were really good at building on the franchise, and GG is really accessible to new players. Yeah, they don't need Sony money this time around so it should hopefully come to everything. The biggest question is will it current gen only or will they make it for retro consoles and the switch? I remember playing one back in the IGN message board days when Capcom vs SNK came out. Some of you old timers might remembe. I think the hard part about this is no cross play for most of them, with our more limited user base here that makes it pretty hard I think. I do pretty much the same thing though. I love fighters. I love LOOKING at fighters. But they don’t usually give me many reasons to play them past a few hours. I actually don’t like how Strive does it and that kinda puts me off on it. Netherrealm are the masters at solo play for fighters but their actual fighters aren’t my favorite though I do like them. Really would love a nice world tour for this. He said that fighting games need to get out of the arcade mentality. So many of them are built around the idea they are arcade games and you go through a line or opponents, beat them and that's it. But they should be treated like a normal game now, fill it with fun stuff and lots of single player content. Especially for $60, you don't really give casual players much to invest in.
