With the GTAV community stronger than ever, Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will come to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms this coming March 15, bringing the blockbuster open-world experience to players on the latest hardware. We sincerely appreciate the entire community’s support over the years as the game now heads into an unprecedented third console generation.

 

Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S features new graphics modes with up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second, texture and draw distance upgrades, HDR options and ray-tracing, as well as offering the technical advancements of the latest console generation with faster loading times, immersive 3D audio, platform-specific features like advanced haptic feedback, and much more.

 

PS4 and Xbox One players eager to continue their journey on the newest generation of hardware will be able to transfer both their GTAV Story Mode progress and their current GTA Online characters and progression to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with a one-time migration at launch.

Vegas would work very well because you could get the best of both worlds. The strip and the surrounding desert which could function a lot like breaking bad. Chicago or D.C. would make great locations too. I REALLY want to see what they could do with a D.C. setting.

Vegas was San Andreas and Chicago was GTA 3

How about it takes place in cyberspace and  instead of shooting people you exchange nft’s to earn cards you use to boost in battle royal matches that earn you loot boxes with a chance to hear some girl lick a rogue lite microphone.

I could see rockstar totally making that as a meta-commentary while simultaneously totally doing the thing that they're saying is something evil corporations do.

Ooh. An approximated South Africa would be great for social commentary purposes if handled right, especially if they included a version of Lesotho. I'm not sure if that's a mine field they want to traverse, though. A story with a mix of Afrikaans, black, and English characters would be great, though. If they copied the formula from GTA V, having a character from Cape Town, an Afrikaans person from Johannesburg, and a black person from Soweto would be dope.

GTA 3 was set in Liberty City which is New York, according to the GTA Wiki.

Sure ok. It's still Liberty City which is the GTA U's stand in for NY. I don't know what the stand in for Chicago would be called? Windy City? Now that you mention it... why not Detroit? That would be a good one too!
