Possible Resident Evil 4 Remake Being Teased for Gamescom.

Could be good, but I didn't really like RE2make(it was alright) and RE3make just seemed lacking(streamlined for those who like it) in many regards. While RE4 has parts I don't care for, I don't want cut content like the two newest remakes. Won't pay 60-70 bucks for remake that is shorter than the original. And the RE4 cheese is what made that game an instant classic IMO. My very first internet handle was ResidentEvil_fanboy because of RE4. I really can't be happy with a remake that isn't classic RE4 turned up to 11.

But, I do understand(or at least this is my understanding) that these remakes are more for rebooting the franchise than it is to actually remake the game.

What? RE2R was significantly longer than the original game and turned the cheese up to 12.

No way Leon A was shorter on the N64, and I didn't say shit about RE2 been cheese. I don't think RE2make is cheesy as all. At best it is slightly hammy. But I really don't care. All I care about is the cheese levels in RE4make and I thought RE2make had very low levels of cheese.

And I know you didn't say shit about cheese on RE2, I was bringing that up to show why you wouldn't have to worry about them making RE4 more "serious" or less cheesy. But if you think that cheesy fucking flirting between Leon and Claire with a bunch of one-liners is "slightly hammy" then I dunno what to say.

I don't give a fuck about flirting. All flirting is cheese so it doesn't count. And I don't trust those times cuz RE2 is old. 100% if you went in blind with RE2 and then Blind in RE2make with zero knowledge of RE2, RE2 would take longer.

EDIT: outside of those shitty flirt scenes I don't remember any action cheese similar to RE4 in RE2make. Game seemed to do the straight man like 90% of the time.

I’ve met him, taking a picture with him, and talked with them. I know who he is dude :p

I have actually met and talked with him and gotten his autograph as well! No picture though, I don’t think they were doing them. His autograph is along with Schimerman’s on just a picture of the two. This would have been back when DS9 was kid of new at a Star Trek convention.

I remember going was part of my brothers bday present so that worked out well for me.  It was such a nerdy thing back when nerdy was even more uncool but I have such great memories of going that year. I think Id like to go to one again some day but need to catch the newer shows first, it would be really cool to go to one while a show as good as DS9 was still new if that ever happens.

Those events are amazing. Kids have a great time, and adults support some creative as hell costumes. I see people in their 60s roaming around, like this one 6’3 woman who was Lady Dimitrescu this year (since this is an RE thread).

Did you ever hear that he wasn’t that warm or friendly? Because I did and yet I thought he was great! I got to dress up as Mario, and for a mustache, a friend used her eyeliner and it was actually quite good. I mention this because I took a picture with him, and then the next day I had him sign my picture, but we had run out of eyeliner so now I was a mustache less Mario. I hand him the picture to sign and he goes dude, what happened to your mustache?!

I never heard that, almost seems like what you would expect him to be like if you hadn’t met him. I was pretty young at the time and can’t remember exactly what was said but i remember him as seeming warm and intelligent:

RE4: Wii Edition is still to this day the best version of RE4 (Fight me, Stranger), so I'm curious how a RE4 remake/remaster/port/whateverthehellCapcomlovestodothesedays would do.

Never gave a shit if it's unbalanced etc. myself and always liked this version the most as well. It's incredibly fun to aim with the Wiimote.

I think the IR controls made the Tank control movements easier to maneuver, and just overall felt nice. My only qualm though is using the sniper as you have to use the the analog stick on the nunchuck when zooming in.

And speaking of tank controls. They sucked in OG RE games back then, and they still suck today. Eternal Darkness solved that issue in the early 2000s, and it was glorious. /rant
