Shares of Activision Blizzard Inc. extended their slide toward a 19-month low Thursday, after an analyst wrote that continued allegations of misconduct at the videogame company could further act as an “overhang” on the stock.

J.P. Morgan’s Alexia Quadrani cut her rating on Activision’s stock ATVI, -3.89% to neutral from overweight Thursday, writing that she was “reluctant to downgrade” a stock that’s been underperforming, but “recent negative headlines” about sexual-misconduct allegations “introduce a significant amount of uncertainty into this story.”

The Wall Street Journal podcast shares new details about its Activision Blizzard Reporting

“There was one example where an Activision employee had for years just signed his email signature 1-800-ALLCOCK,” reporter Kirsten Grind said in a transcript of the podcast. “So if you were a woman, you would get that email and that was just the normal course, right? Just guys being guys joking about it and you just sort of felt like that was what happened at Activision.”

Oh he's finally fucking done. He'll be forced to retire at this point.

however will he survive with all those millions of dollars he got in salary, bonuses, and other compensation over the decades?

unless criminal and civil damages are brought to bear on him, his only punishment for this will be to retire a very very very very rich man.  Just doesn’t seem right.

Activision QA staff and other developers protest surprise cuts at Raven Software

Quote

Quality assurance testers and other developers at Raven Software, the Activision studio in charge of the extremely lucrative free-to-play battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone, are walking out on the job today to protest surprise layoffs that were foisted on staff beginning last Friday. The group told Kotaku in a statement it has only one demand: give all QA testers, including those just laid off, full-time positions.

“Those participating in this demonstration do so with the continued success of the studio at the forefront of their mind,” the group wrote. “The Raven QA department is essential to the day-to-day functioning of the studio as a whole. Terminating the contracts of high performing testers in a time of consistent work and profit puts the health of the studio at risk.”
