Chris-
https://kotaku.com/press-sneak-out-1842900864 It'll be interesting to see where he's heading given he's arguably the most high-profile journalist in gaming.
SaysWho?
Looks like he wants to play saxophone full time. Cool!
Paperclyp
He starting a new site with some others. Smart move by him financially (I presume).
Brian
Some more news: Kirk, Maddy, and I are no longer hosting Kotaku Splitscreen. I am incredibly excited to announce that we're starting a brand new video game podcast, Triple Click, on the Maximum Fun network!!! Give this baby a follow: @tripleclickpod— Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) April 16, 2020
DarkStar189
Wow. I know things have been rocky at Kotaku for a while. Some comments would get thrown around during some Splitscreen podcasts where they assured everyone they would continue to podcast if/when the day came. Keyser_Soze
He's pulling a Jeff Gerstmann except leaving under entirely different circumstances.
Dre801
Welp, no reason to visit Kotaku ever again.

I guess I don’t really listen to the man speak very much, I love his reporting, but he doesn’t strike me as an interesting personality to listen to talking about games? Chris-
I enjoy reading the dweebs on Twitter who are happy about this because they don't like seeing how the sausage is made (or because he gave middling review to Xenoblade 2 or whatever). That's triggered me to want to listen to the history of Giant Bomb podcast. Going off on a complete tangent, I would 100% enjoy a mini-series about Jeff leaving Gamespot, the formation of Giant Bomb and everything that happened along the way. Back on subject, it sounds like Schreier is making the right call at the moment which is always nice to hear.

Well, I think he's banking on his popularity as a reporter to carry him through it. 27 minutes ago, gamer.tv said: That's triggered me to want to listen to the history of Giant Bomb podcast. Listen to the 10 year anniversary podcast, it's got some interesting information.

ShreddieMercury
He had great scoops, and I really appreciate his persistence in reporting on crunch and other awful employment practices in the industry. I'll also miss him turning into a whiny baby at the slightest provocation in the comment section.
