Poise is your ability to not get stunned by enemy attacks. If you get it up to 100 you can basically absorb any attack with a shield. Sort of.

Just compare Poise of the armors, 45 sounds like it'd probably be on the high end. I think I'm in the 20's.

 

I have a pretty large collection of armor, and maxing out my poise with the highest pieces in each slot would get me 51.  So I can't imagine it getting much higher than that.

65, I don't know why, yesterday I was sure I was 67, but regardless I am over leveled. About the same hours in. I have 11 of 13 or 14 map fragments, so there is a bunch i haven't seen. I've won 3 of the 5 great runes from their previous holders. Im at that point where I am truly beginning to feel powerful for the first time. Not just over leveled, but my gear is also working.

My Bloodhound Fang is level now level 6. I need somber smithing stone [7], I already have [8] and [9].

 

My attack power is 402 currently. But I think a rune arc is active because I haven't died in a bit.

I'm about 33 hours in and level 45 or 46 I think. Just starting to explore the second area. I asked this in the other chat we have, but I'll ask here as well. Can co-op players trade loot? I know people are looking for Staves (Staffs) and I have at least three that I know I'll never use ( at least not with this character) I'm on Xbox if anybody is interested.

If it works like in past games I think you can drop an inventory item and the other player picks it up?

I loved both fight. I found Renalla a bit to easy, but a blast to fight, and Red Wolf of Radagon was an absolute blast. Fun rolling and dodging his attacks.

Select the item and choose the option that says "leave" and you'll drop it on the ground for someone to pick up.

 

I dropped some stuff for my friends the other day, like weapons and the poison cure stuff.

Level 40

 

Some of you guys are blowing me away with how high and long you've spend. @Mr.Vic20 is like 100 hours in. Doesn't that guy run a business and a family and stuff? :shock:

I'm a mess! Neckbeard fully grown out! I actually took some time off to play this as I knew what I would become in its grasp! :lol::vortex:

Yes, you can trade every item EXCEPT sombering smithing stones. I guess they don't want people trading those for some reason.

Same, I largely took the week off last week, but had a lot of AFK time dealing with calls and emails while playing.

 

I am also at like 80-90 hours I believe, Lvl 95

Nobody really knows. At first soft caps were 40, then they were 60, and then people didn't really know. Here and on reddit, there seems to be confusion.

I’m around 60 hours in at level 56 I believe at raya lucaria still with the +13 claymore trying to resist the urge to start like 4 new builds. This is going to be hard to replay like 5 times for different builds, not because i don’t want to but because I don’t have time to.

I'm starting to get diminishing returns on str/dex, at least for my current weapon, with 42 STR and 42 DEX, trying to put one more point into either only gives two additional damage instead of 3.

 

Not sure if that's a soft cap but it's definitely diminishing returns! Starting to pump up my health now as I've had the default 10 vigor for the entire game and I'm getting a little sick of everything one-shotting me. Two-shots here we come!

I would buy an Elden Ring one for sure. But man, that'll be a lot of book.

It's too early for me to say, I was super impressed with the game as I played it for many many hours, but there's been kind of a zombie-like fugue I've been in for a while where I play it a ton but nothing really resonates or sticks. But that could be how I'm playing it. I'm still loving big moments like finally getting to the big city and all that, so I've still been having a great time, but not quite as much as when I started. Could be any number of factors though!


I wish PvP was easier to get into more frequently. I feel like in past Souls games there'd be red summon signs everywhere. Now I see mostly golden ones.
