Brian Posted May 29, 2019 Share Posted May 29, 2019 This feels like a defining moment for S-E’s Western Studios and their future. Recently, S-E games that have sold and reviewed well have come from Eastern studios (KH3, DQXI, Octopath, Nier, etc) while S-E’s Western Studios last few releases have not been as successful (Tomb Raider, Deus Ex MD, Just Cause 4, Quiet Man). S-E already jettisoned IO Interactive and Hitman. Microsoft has been active in acquiring studios. Sony commented about expanding its studios. Google is just entering the industry. I don’t believe that they have released any info on this, other than that it will be multi year and multigame. We don’t know if it will even support current gen consoles.
