Could be a bunch of radioactive Staten Islanders who've moved to NJ, there's a ton of landfills on Staten Island (it's a good deal of what the garbage smell on the Turnpike in fact).

Apparently the year the school was built there was a bunch of soil moved out from a nuclear testing site nearby...one theory is that it was used in the foundation/construction of the grounds.

I'm not saying I'd actively investigate Jersey Hoffa Devil sightings but I am in NJ.

We've had reports of cancer clusters around here too.

 

This one in particular didn't find anything though testing

Some Carlsbad, Calif., residents want to know why there seems to be a cancer cluster in their city. They're pushing officials to find out but officials say there's no evidence of an abnormally high number of cases.
