Been putting this show off for way too long. Finally started it and I’m absolutely flying through it. I know this show was well regarded been Jesus not well regarded enough. Show is incredible. Tom Hardy is an absolute legend. Just finished season three and the scene he had in the treasure vault with the Russians? Just give him all the awards.

The casting for the movies was really good(except hermione and second dumbledore) but I think the only character that would have a real uphill climb to winning people over is whoever they cast for Snape. Good luck my dude. People underestimate fans willingness to accept new actors in rolls. As long as they’re good they’ll be accepted within the first few episodes.

There’s a bit of a difference in that those movies(especially the extended editions) are near flawless adaptions of the books. You really can’t do much better. Harry Potter movies, while certainly beloved, are objectively bad adaptions of the books. I think Harry Potter fans would love to see a more accurate adaptation and it’s HBO, they’ll crush it.

I forgot to post here when I saw it but yeah, I agree with all of this. The movie was outstanding, incredibly entertaining for adults in a less “low hanging fruit” way that the Shrek movies are. Arguably my favorite movie I’ve seen so far this year.

I think he’s talking about the limited edition Tears of the Kingdom themed one they’re releasing.

I’ve always thought Shyamalan could be great if he had a writing partner who actually edited and wrote the scripts from Shyamalan’s ideas. And then Shyamalan did the directing. I LOVE the style and feel of all his movies and the ideas always seem interesting. Just the way they play out is usually odd.

Yeah I despise Signs. What a piece of shit that movie is. Swing Away 🙄 fuck off. Lady in the Water wasn’t good but I didn’t hate it. I actually enjoy The Happening. I don’t know why. I just do haha. The Village I would put in the Great category. People just got mad at it because they got tricked by the purposefully misleading advertising.

Just watched it. I enjoyed it, granted I’ve pretty much enjoyed all of M Nights movies except Signs. Bautista was very much the highlight for me. I hope this leads to him getting a lot more dramatic rolls. I feel like he’s proving he really can handle anything.

Got a guy to Level 20 and as much as I’m loving the game I’m done. I want to have as much fresh as possible in June. Game is everything I was hoping for.

We’re really going to get hung up on how realistic the evolution of Ted’s soccer knowledge is? I viewed Zava more as a Ibrahimović more than Messi or Ronaldo. Unsurprisingly this board once again makes a bigger deal over runtime than is necessary. Once again longer movie comes out to outstanding reviews proving if a movie is paced correctly the runtime doesn’t really matter.
