  1. But Dishonored is all about movement and slick play. The videos they're showing is the player strolling around window shopoing and then spamming attacks at seemingly almost stationary enemies. I really dig the whole vibe of it and like that they're doing something else but the gameplay is a huge ???? to me.
  2. Never heard of this but that cover art is super cool. Wonder if this is available to stream/rent anywhere in this restoration quality?
  3. I still don't get this game at all. The combat looks like it should be complimented by fast-paced movement but instead you seem to trudge along at 0.2 mph through what appears to be zero encounter design. It just doesn't make sense to me based on what they're showing.
  4. Me too. Having been at the receiving end of shit like this for years, it utterly enrages me. Imagine being this entitled and oblivious.
  5. I still want to give Dark Souls 2 another try sometime. The initial Day 1 shock and disgust has worn off and it's not like it isn't probably a cool game objectively. I think I had to divorce it from "sequel to my favorite game ever" in my head first.
  6. I've always said that you can judge a person's character based on how they treat service industry workers. I know you're a fucking loser if you talk down to a waiter or any of that. This is pathetic and I wish the Amazon worker would kick that door down and punch someone in that house in the face.
  7. Already started drifting like hell and I babied that thing. No eating while playing, kept it in a drawer etc. I even took it apart fully and cleaned it just in case.
  8. I honestly prefer playing these games offline the first time. The sense of isolation and wonder is amplified even more that way for me.
  9. I just had to send my DualSense in for repair...hope they turn that shit around quickly, which I highly doubt.
  10. they both look like disgusting 70s furniture
  11. Checked out the SkillUp review of this, pretty much sold me on it for a later date after some patches and so on: This guy's takes are basically what my I find my tastes aligning with the most so I usually look there for informative reviews at this point.
  12. First time I really looked at this game and I really dig the speed and combat. It's going on the wishlist, I'll pick it up at a later date when it's patched up and all that. It definitely looks like a ton of fun. Does this have a PvP element?
  13. Granted I haven't seen a ton of this game but it looks like quite literally running around and gorily smashing zombies. I have no idea what kind of story I'd need in that.
  14. Most games for me really when I see reviews like some of these. Unless it's a straight-up story-based game like Disco Elysium or something, I can't compute reading about an Action game or something and going 'oh no story is garbage, not getting THIS'. That applies to 99% of videogames ever.
  15. Yeah didn't Shovel Knight sell like hot cakes? Anyway, the game looks great and I'll buy it when it comes out. That being said, I'm also not really that into the 8-bit style either, I vastly prefer 16-bit.
  16. Paper Moon (1973) - 9.5/10 Sadly don't have time for that many words on this right now but I thought this was an endearing, beautiful and great film. It's one of those movies that made me miss its characters for days after and I'm still thinking about it. It makes me want to know more about some of the side characters that fade in and out of its story. I recently rewatched Days Of Heaven and this kind of reminded me of the lighter side of that. Also, this is one of the most gorgeous movies I've seen in a while. I've rarely seen a movie that looks so convincingly of its era, at least to my untrained eyes I guess. The big skies, the sparse and run-down interiors and the frequent painterly closeups of the actors' faces give this a really distinct look. I can't think of a negative here really, it's a fantastic film that I'll be thinking about for some time I think.
  17. I want kids but it hasn't worked out so far and I'm not happy about it.
  18. We read that in German school before a class trip to a camp, you can read it here in 2022.
  19. I had never even heard of this before but immediately the name strikes me as fucking stupid if they're actually serious. It sounds like me buying some C-rate Punk band shirt at age 15.
  20. If you wanna be careful with the reload, stop firing shortly before you run empty and focus on evasion for a few seconds. Your ammo will fill up automatically again. Sometimes that's an option if you're in too tight of a situation and risk the downtime of the Overload fail. Game is ALL about being aggressive.
  21. Now that you have melee at your disposal, get in there and get aggressive. The regular blue grunts and purple bats in Biome 1 are one-shot kills with melee.
