  1. You even quoted yourself being wrong. I still have yet to claim I'm a pro days later chief I do this with everything. I try to be reasonable and an adult and just 'move on' when things are too hard in life and then I can't let it go and HAVE to go learn it/beat it/make it not a problem. I do this with everything. I had to brute-force redoing like half the engine bay on my car despite not knowing anything about it. I couldn't accept defeat lol. THE TRUE WAY OF THE SOON-TO-BE SIFU PRO
  2. I watched him again last night and...you know what? Fuck this guy, I'm gonna git gud at it as well just to outdo him (let's see how many controllers it costs).
  3. I've been watching my friend who's really into fighting games crush it in this game via stream. He makes it look so easy, it's infuriating
  4. LOL Street Fighter NFTs or Street Fighter II Remake (featuring two original stages and five brand-new sewer stages and a roster of 4 fighters)
  5. Nah it's not that I'm button mashing or didn't play around with it. I just find it super difficult and am a bit burnt right now. I just Platinum'd Returnal, did TLOU2 on Grounded and then got ino Hunt Showdown. I just didn't realize my reserves were running on empty. It's not the game's fault. It's just incredibly demanding and I'm too lazy right now.
  6. I think there are games where it does add to the mood and feel to say hey, this is it and it's a struggle. Thinking of the Souls games for example or Subnautica. I think this goes for Sifu a lot less, at least in my opinion. It's a stage-based brawler that's really arcade-y in every other way unlike Dark Souls where you have this hollistic world. The game is doing well, so kudos to them, but I do think adding difficulty options is smart here. As it stands, I think the game is prohibitively punishing for many players. It's a great game but I admit I gave up on it for now. I can destroy the first level but the second is an absurd difficulty spike boss and hyperarmor enemy wise. I'm just not great at this kind of fast fighting game rhythm and this game's reaction times and memorization make Sekiro look like amateur hour to me at least. Waiting for the Easy mode to try again. I accept defeat 😬
  7. Actually this is the play. Their Twitter announced they'll be adding additional modes like easier and harder modes and enemy waves etc. at some point. Game is really difficult, sometimes not in a fun way to me, and Easy mode in this game might actually be good to start with to 'train'.
  8. Tobias Fünke has to be one of the funniest characters ever. That scene where he does that Mrs. Doubtfire thing had me crying Okay, this one specifically, holy shit
  9. I don't even get what his point is from his perspective. The dude lives on a massive farm property, it's not like he'd even be able to see nor interact with this. He can't possibly be worried about property value or anything like that. Also very prophetic now ha!
  10. So yea bought the game and played probably...3 hours tonight? I basically so far just ran the first level over and over trying to learn the controls and moves a bit. It's very complicated in a way and the lack of a solid tutorial/training mission is pretty weird. That being said I do really enjoy it and the presentation especially is great. The main things I really dislike are the aging system and lack of difficulty options. I feel like it's this thing that Indies are doing a lot now where they crank the hell out of the difficulty and add some vaguely rogue elements so reviewers can't call it a 5 hour game. The aging mechanic is basically limited continues, which is fine, but I don't like them adding penalties on top and I dislike the interruption it creates every time. It gets real annoying after the fifth time in a row or whatever. It's still a really unique and well crafted game that is a lot of fun when you're in the flow. But then you hit something like the 2nd level boss and the difficulty seems a bit silly to me with all that nonstop hyperarmor. I'm not gonna lie, despite really liking it in many ways, I was hoping it'd be slightly more arcade-y control wise. Edit: Also, it's highly addictive. Woke up early to run the first level again and try a bunch of John Woo shit. Sliding over tables full of drug money and then eye-gouging a dude after smashing a bottle in their face is one of those things you can't get in any other game.
  11. Edit: As a sidenote, I just got in trouble on the Hunt: Showdown discord because of my "Bloodporne" screenname. There was a mutiny against it being NSFW and I had to change it lol
  12. I was gonna cave and buy it last night but I still don't have my PS5 controller back so I'll wait, damn.
  13. I forget what the movie's name was but there was an Indie Horror flick some years back with that 'dark tunnel/overpass' as a focal point as well. I remember it sucking but the concept was cool. This movie...I think I'm burnt out on the A24 thing completely but I'll give it a shot because I loved Ex Machina.
  14. So how's the difficulty for you Mr. Skillz? Some of those reviews make it sound like such a ballbuster, I was curious about that.
  15. Don't know what it is about this movie but every time I've seen anything involving it, I'm instantly turned off. I don't even know what the hell it's about.
  16. I've seen none of these except Dune. I really wanted to see Licorice Pizza and missed it in the cinema...fuck.
  17. How could you not? Chainsaws are intrinsically cool and metal as fuck
  18. I was gonna Day 1 this but man, I'm too addicted to that damn game Hunt. It's taking up any and all game time I have right now
