    I know they had to keep trying new things, especially when they were cranking out one a year for so long, but this is all I want. It’s been long enough. Give me a big old city to explore, towers to climb, piles of hay to dive into, and motherfuckers for me to stab with my sweet wrist blades.

    I completely missed the announcement of this one, so it was a welcome surprise to see it on Game Pass this afternoon. I've played about 90 minutes so far, and it feels like a much more ambitious take on the Her Story/Telling Lies formula. Reviews are extremely positive.

    Went back to Cyberpunk 2077 and finished the last few missions. Credits are rolling now.

    I’ll check it out, but I am a little wary of that constant joking banter. It feels like it could get old quick, and it’s a major focus of the game. It makes me think of Borderlands, a game with a lot of humor that doesn’t necessarily land, but you can kinda tune it out and focus on the gameplay. Seems like that would be pretty hard to do here.

    This Saturday, September 3rd I generally avoid movie theaters on busy weekends. I can go on Tuesday (my normal day off) and see movies for $5.

    A remaster of a GC-era game is the kind of thing they could announce and release with little to no buildup. It might make sense to wait until there’s real MP4 news. “Prime 4 will release Spring 2023. While you wait for that, here’s the original, remastered for Switch, available now.”

    Yeah, Starbucks is one of those businesses that’s pretty easy for me to boycott. As ubiquitous as they are, they’re never the only option wherever I am in town, and the other place is probably better and/or cheaper.

    Finished 13 Sentinels. Took the better part of the month, so it wasn’t ideal for this thread, but a hell of a game that I should have gotten to sooner!

    According to Steam, I only played it for about 7 hours. Maybe I'll download that and give it another spin. I'm still riding on an Elden Ring high, and might enjoy it more now.

    Sequel, which is totally obvious because the first game didn't have a "The" at the beginning.

    If you listen to the two back to back, it’s easy to tell that they’re different. It seems like he’s trying to stick really close to Baker though, and given this extremely small sample size, it seems like he nailed it.
