  1. 32 is a lot yes. If you don't use your PC for professional purposes (photo/video editing/encoding etc) there really hasn't been any reason to have that much. For a lot of people video games are far and away the most resource intensive thing they use their PC for and since games previously never demanded that much RAM, yes it's setting a new precedent as to what a "gaming PC" of the future might require. I haven't been keeping up with the latest steam hardware surveys but I'd guess less than 10-15% of people have 32 or more gb of ram.
  2. America is one of those "Shithole countries" that that one guy famously referred to.
  3. I worked in a restaurant for a lot of my youth and while you should always be kind and courteous to the staff don't be such a coward that you're too afraid to let them know there has been a mistake. They're people too and they will understand as long as your request is reasonable Example: I remember I accidentally sent the wrong order for a lady she ordered whitefish I gave her salmon she ate the whole thing and didnt say a word after the meal her husband politely pointed out the mistake and I felt like shit becase I knew it was my fault and they didn't get what they wanted. I still remember that like 15 years later, if she'd just let me know I would've fixed it no problem and I wouldn't remember it at all
  4. There are a few summons you can get early that are very OP. The marionette soldiers I think they're called dont do crazy damage but they can stun/interrupt enemies including bosses.
  5. This is the first time I'm excited for a Final Fantasy game since XII. It seems like for the first time in a long time they had a vision and direction and aren't just piecing together half-baked ideas. Really interested in seeing more detail on how combat and character progression works.
  6. I've been to like 35-40ish, missing the whole boring section of the Dakotas, Montana, Idaho etc(upper west) and alaska.
  7. Well that was fast, the dock shipped already arriving tomorrow
  8. I bought the 512gb and I have no regrets other than how long it took to get because of the initial queue size. The anti-glare screen is nice especially if you don't plan on using a screen protector. The SD slot does work flawlessly, but I hate deleting/moving games when I run out of space and 256gb might only hold 2-3 meatier games (NBA 2K & Mass Effect Legendary edition are both like 120gb) Personally I don't see why you'd opt for 256gb over the 64gb if you plan to store most of your games on SD card anyways.
  9. I mean I agree the price is whack but it will look nice on the desk and presumably won't have to worry about it bricking the system due to cheap components. If I had known it was going to cost $90 I probably wouldn't have waited for it, but since I did I'll pay a little extra for the aesthetic and piece of mind.
  10. Ordered the dock as I dont own a usb c hub. I will give impressions once I get my grubby little hands on it.
  11. It's sad but all of the greats are deeply flawed people. Jordan gambling, Tiger cheating, Tom not letting go. Their insecurities almost certainly played a major role in enabling to achieve what they did.
  12. Going to finally play RE Vllage once 3rd person update drops, not a fan of how claustrophobic a lot of fps feel, even if you crank up the FoV it doesnt help much on a game like this because there are so many tight corridors.
  13. Good they deserve it, fuck em. Activision Blizzard withheld raises from union campaigners, NLRB finds WWW.EUROGAMER.NET Following investigations, the National Labour Relations Board (NLRB) has found that Activision Blizzard withheld raises… Scumbags
  14. Certainly that's part of it, we had massive growth since 2019 but e-commerce has really ramped up since then and we weren't really effected by the port delays as much as others (my facility only handles air cargo).
  15. A little bit more context for those unfamiliar DHL is the largest logistics company in the world. Both Fedex and DHL are forecasting significant decrease in volume going into "peak" holiday season. We're headed for a major recession, maybe even depression 2.0 the "everything bubble" is about to burst. Extreme inflation across all sectors including basic human necessities (shelter, food, energy) combined with 40+ years of stagnant wage growth means we're all fucked. We need sweeping economic policy change that significantly hampers the price gouging on energy and housing. If people are spending 50% (or more) of their income on basic necessities the economy will never be stable.
  16. I work at a midwest facility, they're laying off 100ish employees or roughly 1/4th of the drivers/dock workers and other major cities will be doing the same. Shit is about to hit the fan boys, save your money 2008 revenge tour is upon us.
  17. Fat Jokes? How old are you? What fucking year is this? I'm a shade under 200lbs at 12% body fat, I could literally break you in half but go off king.
  18. Part of durability is being able to withstand "normal wear & tear" which includes small drops like for instance the 2 feet from my couch to the floor. Again never had any issues with that in any controller over the past 30 years until I got a PS5. Is it the best controller sony have ever made? Maybe? That's not a very high bar to clear though.
  19. At least I'm not a worthless consumerist cunt like you
  20. Great rebuttal. I am 36 years old and I've never broken a controller (besides joycon drift) in my entire life... until the ps5 came out I've since broken 2 DS controllers. The triggers will shatter into a billion pieces if you breathe on them too hard. The battery life also sucks, I get like 4-5 hours with rumble & lightbar low and sound off
  21. Dualsense are some of the worst controllers I can remember in terms of build quality and battery life and this doesnt seem to address either of those issues, definitely not worth $200
  22. That is not remotely accurate to reality. I own like 300 steam games, I've played about 60 of them deck and I can count on 1 finger the number of times of needed to do any tinkering at all. It just works. There are exceptions of course but it's not at all how you describe it even many of the games listed as 'unplayable' by valve usually work flawlessly
