  1. Sekiro: shadows die a hell of a lot more than twice. Might mix in some dead cells & NHL 23
  2. 21 mill/year for a guard!? I understand spending that on a tackle but that's such an insane amount for somebody who plays inside even if he is top 3 at that position
  3. Thanks for the words of encouragement y'all @skillzdadirecta I attempted to fell Genichiro again and after about 5 tries I finally made it to his 2nd phase for the first time... and I fucking beat it first try! I think it was pure luck or adrenaline or something but hey I did it. Onto the next one.
  4. So after my struggle with him I grinded bit to unlock ascending/descending carp & went back to give butterfly another shot & beat her first try. Maybe there's still hope for my old man fingers
  5. First thing I do in every game: change resolution, turn on borderless windowed, turn motion blur the fuck off because why is that a thing? Also turn screen shake off if the game has that. Film grain is fine if it fits thematically (left 4 dead first game that comes to mind), but generally I tun it off too.
  6. If you were somebody else I'd be roasting you right now but your other qualities make up for this incomprehensible procurement.
  7. So I made it to Genichiro and got 1 deathblow on him first try, cut to 40 tries later I looked up vids to see what I'm doing wrong... and find out this man has 3 FUCKING HEALTH BARS AND A 2ND PHASE!? I'm going to grind a bit to get the posture breaking skills & if I dont make significant progress that might be a wrap for me.
  8. Bear the fuck Down! Thank you Lovie Smith.
  9. I hate this so much. People need to stop indulging these massive corporations co-opting days so they can push their products on you. I could deal with it when it was just sweetest day or whatever halmark made up holiday but this May the 4th and Mar10 and whatever shit needs to stop. /rant
  10. Bro wtf did they do to my boy Salazar? He was like a snarky little ventriloquist dummy in the original and was easily the most memorable part that game. They made him look like the god damned chicken lady from Kids in the hall and the dialogue is both poorly written and poorly delivered. I hate it.
  11. So basically Mesa from Warframe confirmed for Remnant 2 🤣 I love it. If anyone wants to play some co-op in steam once this drops let me know!
  12. Beating the demo for this game made me want to give Sekiro another shot (only played like 20 minutes when I first bought it). I made it to the first proper boss (butterfly) & good lord that game is a million times harder, she destroyed me. I like a challenge but not sure I have the patience or the reflexes for it any more.
  13. Its actually pretty easy (compared to similar games) if youre patient because you can hold block while attempting to parry and if you miss the window you will still block all but the big flashing red attacks. Parry window is also pretty huge, way more forgiving than souls games. It seems like you can beat it without parrying and simply dodging but dodging drains your stamina so it's definitely not the ideal way to play.
  14. Yeah that's fair and I'm not suggesting you force yourself to play if you are not having fun. I just think the reputation of these games sometimes overshadows everything else and pre-conditions people into maybe giving up a bit too soon but you have clearly given it enough time and decided it isnt for you which is totally fine and valid.
  15. So demon souls is a bit weird in that the bosses aren't really meant to be tackled in order. Also if you got stuck on the rock guys they take like no damage with a sword, but a blunt weapon like a hammer will fuck them up. The world tendency can also make it dramatically harder, but you can influence that.
  16. If you beat it you can beat all of the souls games, same tactics can be applied only difference is no world map.
  17. Have you guys seen the clip of Elon Musk playing Elden Ring? He posted a clip of him fighting Radahn with a health bar 10 miles long and he was fat rolling the whole time. If somebody as trash as him can beat it, it would be a walk in the park for our boy @stepee
  18. You can go a million different directions in souls games also, you're rarely forced down a particular path but the open world definitely makes exploring other options far easier and more apparent. Once you beat elden ring you may want to try revisiting the souls games and exploring different paths if you hit a roadblock
