  1. I have been single-handedly trying to keep all the south Jersey breweries in business. Every week I'm doing a run and picking up growlers or crowlers from area brewers to enjoy during my various gaming sessions. Most recently it was Village Idiot's "Thong Remover" (I don't pick the names). A really good 9.8% tripel.
  2. If this turns into a pissing contest, AMC is in for problems. Universal is the second most successful studio of all time and Xfinity is the largest television and Internet service provider in the country. Comcast owns both the production of the content and the widest distribution channel there is to deliver it. They don't need AMC. Hell, I can see Comcast working out theatrical release window distribution deals with other studios if the money makes sense. AMC'd be in a corner then. I hope they work it out because some movies deserve the theater treatment, but if it turns into a dick-sizing competition with Comcast, AMC is going lose.
  3. Jersey tap water. For bottled water, my favorite is Fiji, but those stupid square bottles never fit in my truck's cup-holder so I almost never buy it. So usually just whatever 2/$1 Wawa/7-11 brand is what I'll grab.
  4. So at this point is there any timeline in which Animal Crossing doesn't win every meaningful Game of the Year award? The timing of it was just too perfect for the world's situation.
  5. Oh shit, y'all. I'm sorry. My gates were open all day yesterday. I gave my code to several folks on the D1P Discord, but I wasn't logged into the boards here so I didn't see these mentions. I'll try to start checking the boards more often, but if you need me for something time-sensitive, @ me on the D1P Discord server and it'll notify me on my phone so I'll see it right away.
  6. I thought, "there's no way the 'skins trade out of #2. Chase Young is a lock". Now there's all these reports, that Rivera is denying, that there are a couple teams offering the farm for #2. Now I'm not so sure.
  7. It's impacting my tabletop gaming most seriously. My weekly D&D has moved online with no problem, but my regular board gaming nights with my pals are kinda of squashed for the time being. As far as video games go I find myself with a lot more time since my regular outside social activities aren't happening. So I've been playing a lot of Valorant and doing some backlog clearing; Demon's Souls, replaying FFVI, picked up FF7R. Also a shitload of Animal Crossing,
  8. Trials of Mana. I mean, we already knew about it, but I'm excited for it and this just made me more so.
  9. Not for $500 of course, but yeah I would. Edit: I mean, it's where the games will be, right? And that's why we do this; for the games. We can assume it will be at least marginally better than the PS4 so any specs beyond that are just gilding the lily. If it's got the games I'm already sold.
  10. A lot of people feel the same way plus it's an XFL game. I imagine that it'll be far less crowded than the grocery store in any given section of the stadium.
  11. Unless D.C. jumps in on the public gathering ban, I still plan on going to my first XFL game on Sunday. :P
  12. I imagine that Trump could throw up live during a press conference and insist that it was just some bad shrimp he ate.
  13. I mean, if we're talking non-promotional pricing you're looking at what, $70/mo for Internet + probably $60/mo for one of the lower tier TV packages + $20/mo for home phone service. So you're in the neighborhood of $150/mo right there and that's before all the taxes and regulatory fees and equipment rentals and such. Then throw in extra premium channels, Pay-Per-Views, etc...I can easily see bills getting well north of $200.
  14. https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/11/us/harvey-weinstein-sentence-transcript/index.html It reads like a suicide note...
  15. Cable is overpriced, generally, IMO. To be fair though, when comparing it to other 'utilities', your average cable bill is usually inclusive of multiple services that used to be traditionally billed separately. Of course wrapping your television, Internet, and home telephone into one bill is going to make that bill higher. And that gulf is going to continue to widen as more cable-delivered services (home security, 2nd party streaming, mobile, etc.) start being offered more widely and bundling options increase.
  16. Friend of mine works for the Philly convention center and told us that they just had their first big event cancellation recently. I swear if GenCon gets canceled I'mma riot.
  17. For the longest time here on D1P I thought he was a parody account doing a character.
  18. I watching the D.C. vs Seattle game yesterday. I thought it was fun. Yeah, it wasn't the highest quality, but it was real football. Not the over-produced crap they rolled out the first time around. It felt like a professional football league. As they make adjustments to work out kinks as they move forward, it will get better. I'm gonna keep watching. Edit: Also watching Jim Zorn lose in D.C. again brought back some trauma for me.
