Just wanted to say what a joy it has been to play Hollow Knight for the first time, on my Steam Deck. -
Hello. Horse cock?

If the show was a little closer I'd be very tempted, since I've also never seen these guys and they were also a favorite in high school and college. We could finally meet at an Incubus show. On a similar note (bands mostly popular 10+ years ago), I'm going to see Muse in the Moda Center in a couple weeks.

Ah right, I guess I knew you'd moved at some point, sorry! Once the weather improves, if you're wanting something aerobic but non-contact, ultimate frisbee is also pretty fun. I've been playing on rec leagues for the last few months and it's good exercise, cool people, etc. Have you ever tried rock climbing in a gym?

Very sorry to hear that man. Have you been able to get the Switch and at least have a little distraction?
-
Just throwing ideas out there, but: Is frisbee golf much of a thing on the Isle of Man? At least here, it's a somewhat popular excuse to get out for a walk.

During Black Friday I bought the complete James Bond collection on Blu-ray (was on sale for $40, currently $84). I happened to still have a couple of the 90s movies (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies) on DVD and to kill some time, I did a side by side comparison. It will of course surprise nobody, but it never ceases to amaze me how even older movies look 1000% better on Blu-ray. Even the 1960s movies (e.g. Dr. No, 1962) look great.

I'm very ignorant of all that is involved in such a procedure, but I'm curious: is that typical to have to wait six months? Are they just waiting on it to heal fully, or do you know why it will be so long?

PCCB Are any of the IGN PCCB still around?

All these PCCBers dropping by, making one post, and disappearing for months again. -
General Gaming What are you playing today?

Been playing South Park: The Stick of Truth this week on my new Steam Deck. I'm loving this game and the Deck. -
PC Tech Have you all updated to Windows 11?
Nokra replied to Nokra's topic in PC/Mac Technical and PCCB
This sounds like it could potentially be a driver issue (i.e. they stop working and the system becomes unstable). Just to double-check: Have you updated all of your drivers, including chipset? -

The Steam Deck has already gotten me to play more games besides my near-daily-go-to of TF2. In fact, I've been in kind of a rut lately where I've really gotten out of gaming besides TF2, and now with the Deck I've been putting several hours into South Park: The Stick of Truth after it sat in my backlog for years and years. I've really been enjoying the experience. I loved South Park way back when (though I'm way behind; I think I quit watching regularly in season 16 and they're on 25 ). The Steam Deck of course handles it like a champ, and it plays exceptionally well on the Deck's controls. I also bought Pentiment (thanks for bringing it to my attention again, @CastlevaniaNut18) and figure that might be my next game once I beat Stick of Truth this weekend. Though I do also want to try something more graphically intense on the Steam Deck, so maybe Red Dead Redemption 2 will be a gap-filler. Lastly, I also finally got started on Hollow Knight for the first time and after an hour or so I'm really loving the atmosphere. Man I love this thing; it's awesome to play PC games on the go or on the couch. -

Sorry that you're having those neck and wrist issues, that sucks ass. And yeah it sounds like maybe the Steam Deck isn't really ideal for you without a dock but, as you said, it's at least more portable than just a desktop. -

@TheLeon what do you think so far? I'm personally loving it! It's taking me a little bit to get used to playing PC games with a "controller" but it's a truly impressive piece of tech, IMO. Playing PC games on the toilet feels like living the dream. -
Dang man, really sorry to hear that you're in so much pain and are even struggling to sleep. Have you tried getting on the Oregon Health Authority policy? I was on it for a few months when I first moved back to the US, was a student, wasn't employed, and was otherwise without insurance.

You're going to love it, I'm sure. So many great exclusives are available for it, it'll keep you busy for weeks. Very sorry to hear about all of the delays with getting you home, but hopefully it's smooth sailing from here on out.
