About Me

  1. There was a similar thread prior to the board Chernobyl in the music forum; and it was the one thread on that sub-board that was pretty consistently active. But I always loved the rate the last movie you watched thread. This one can be for music! It doesn't necessarily have to be rating an album per se. It can be an artist as a whole or a song individually or anything in between. I just like grouping my music by albums. Cloudkicker - Beacons - 9/10 One of my very favorite albums and definitely his best work. The song titles on this album are taken from a bo
  2. This is a vague hint but it's been far too long so I hope it's good!
  3. Just because you can't go outside doesn't mean Devin has to stop making music. I guess he's doing Twitch streams too.
  4. His music video game has been on point for this album And there's a 23 minute long song. Hold on to your butts boys!
  5. I've been waiting for this thread to pop up for awhile now but it's August so it's my time to shine 10. Borknagar - True North 9. Gojira - Magma 8. Khemmis - Absolution 7. Ayreon - The Source 6. Anaal Nathrakh - The Whole of the Law I've worked a ton this weekend will fill in why I chose these albums
  6. Illyria dropped a surprise single today. Plz enjoy 🙏 @GeneticBlueprint
  7. So the idea for this thread came about in another thread, here's the story roughly, basically I am checking out the top albums from 1992 list, going down the list and sharing my thoughts. You can go down the same list (THIS IS THE LIST!) and share your own thoughts or share your thoughts about my thoughts or just discuss / reminisce about the good albums and such ( @Bloodporne said he was down for something like that in any case). I'm going down the list, I'm not going to talk about every album, just the ones I have or ones I'm interested in. If you're interested in discussing an album I skipp
  8. Also, major digital news announced: Also, Maynard was again on The Joe Rogan Experience today to announce:
  9. I didn't see this until this morning but Charlie Daniels passed away this past Monday! He has always been one of my favorite musicians and he will definitely be missed! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.billboard.com/amp/articles/columns/country/9413980/charlie-daniels-dead-country-stars-react
  10. Feel free to share any Asian music in this thread and here are some of my favorites to get things started: Edit: I would like to note that this is thread No. 1337 so lets make it great!
  11. The drummer's comments follow on from his recent praise for Donald Trump as “the greatest friend to minorities” John Dolmayan of System of a Down Calls Defunding Police ‘Stupidity’
  12. I know there's not that many hip hop heads on this board and I haven't really been into hiphop since the 90's myself, but this was an EVENT last weekend. Since the Quarantine started, Swizz Beats and Timbaland have been promoting these Instagram "battles" between top producers where they go song for song in each other's catalog for bragging rights. Last week's was the best to date. It was a battle featuring two of my favorites The RZA from Wu-Tang Clan vs DJ Premiere formally of Gang Starr (who is one of the most underrated hip hop producers ever in my opinion) This was a pure hip hop head's b

Really liked Fountains of Wayne, saw them live twice and they were great. “That thing you do” is also such perfect throwback 60’s song for the titular movie. He was only 52.

  18. Back in the day, I did discover a lot of music I ended up loving because of the thread on IGN, so let's bring it back. I'm not a fan of metal elitism so this doesn't have to be all esoteric albums that were made in a basement and a dick measuring contest on how "tr00" your metal taste is, but at the same time first the first person to post an I Prevail album is getting bant. So I'll just start it off with the album that got me into "real" metal Yeah, I'm one of those annoying man crush on Devin Townsend people, and this is the album that got me started on i
  19. In case you missed it, here's the 2018 top albums list - for the first time ever we came to a consensus #1! (Well me and @GeneticBlueprint make a consensus I suppose) Post your lists, however many you want. I'll make my claim like always I'll have a list in a timely manner then post it super late. I was thinking we could also do a top 10 of the decade too, but maybe save it for another thread.
