Miranda Schaupp-Werner was found dead at the Grand Bahía Príncipe hotel in La Romana on May 25 -- five days before Edward Nathaniel Holmes, 63, and Cynthia Ann Day, 49, were found dead in their hotel room. Schaupp-Werner, 41, "died suddenly and inexplicably in her hotel room...after arriving and having a drink from the in-room mini-bar," family spokesperson, Jay McDonald, said in a statement to ABC News. Joseph Allen, 55, was found dead in his room Thursday at the Terra Linda Resort in Sosua, where he was celebrating a friend's birthday, his family confirmed to NBC News. Allen's sister-in-law said that the family was scrambling for answers. A representative for the Terra Linda Resort was not immediately available for comment to NBC News. A number of other families reported stories of their relatives mysteriously dying while staying at resorts in the Dominican Republic. Leyla Cox, 53, an MRI technician from Staten Island, was staying at the Excellence resort in Punta Cana when she died on June 11, just a day after her birthday, according to her son. Boomers are going to spend their money going to the Dominican Republic, and it just so happens that that's when their hearts decide to explode. Maybe because Grandpa Jerry hasn't ever snorkeled before or whatever and swimming is just too much activity for his couch potato, fox news watching ass.
