I scored mine through StockX but again.. Not being optimistic until its PHYSICALLY in my hands, hooked up and downloading Demons Souls

Congratz man, exciting!! I'm just going to give up, this it too frustrating. I hope this is ironed out by the time Nvidia releases the 40 series Line of cards. I really want to build a completely new from the ground up gaming rig with a 4080 and give my rig I game on now to my oldest grandson. Budget will be 2500-3k. At least in a month or so I'll have a Steam Deck to play around with, something I really don't need but am excited for no the less. I hope these days, Covid, Ship Shortages, inflation, scalpers, etc, etc don't run well into 2024!

Anyone wanna help some here that still can't get a PS% I'd appreciate it immensely. I'd throw in a 50 dollar tip or a game of your choice no problem 59-69.99

I got my son a 3060ti rig for Christmas and it smokes my PS5 and XB1X. I can't imagine how good a 40 series would do in terms of performance.

Nice PC, my i7 9700k / 32 gig ddr4 3200mhz / 2080Ti / Gaming rig is doing great at most I just have to drop Taxing 4k titles to 1440p and use DLSS to enable RTX and Ultra settings. It has made the 3080 debacle easy to endure as I do not need one yet, this is still a great RIG!

So I have a doozy of a story for you guys... remember when I said my friend helped me get a PS5 for my nephew when she found them in stock at BJ's and bought one for her son?  Well her son refuses to play it because she won't put it in his room. The kid is kind of a shut in and spends every waking moment in his room playing videogames. She bought the PS5 as an enticement to get him to come out of his room and at least be present with the rest of the family so she hooked it up in their living room. The TV in the living room is a 4K Sony and is at least 65'. They also have an impressive surround sound system with ceiling speakers. The kid refuses to touch the PS5 unless they put it in his room so he can play it on his tiny assed 34' TV. She won't do it because one, if it goes in his room the rest of the family won't get to enjoy it and two, she will never see him again. I told her to stick to her guns and even go as far as to unhook the PS5 and tell him that since he didn't want it, she sold it on Ebay. BTW he only plays 3 games she said, Fortnite, Destiny and Overwatch.

I no longer need help getting a PS5. StockX came through for me and it even got delivered to me today when I had a day off work. Demons Souls is unfreakingbelievable. Christ on a bike.. What a remake. It's more of a re-imagining for me since Blue Point took so many liberties on controls, the sound mix, etc etc etc. It's like I've never played the game before.

WELL worth the wait for this potato farmer

I think she's making the right choice. I played a lot of games alone in my bedroom as a child/teen but I was never endlessly connected online. Can't imagine how things would have turned out if I was totally shut in all the time.

Yeah the kid definitely has some issues. He's in therapy but definitely is anti social and spends waaay too much time in his bedroom online. Growing up, I always managed to maintain a balance between my comic book shit and videogames and actively being social with real people. I was always involved in sports, whether it was Martial Arts, Boxing or Basketball and I Deejayed in high school and college so I was always at parties and had a decent amount of friends and a social life. This kid has none of that.

Jesus, yeah. How old is the kid?

At this point I'd remove all of their electronics from their room. It's obvious it's a major problem.

I feel bad for the kid. I went through a couple of year period of self isolation after a workplace accident which led to a painkiller problem. Getting off them caused major depression. It almost destroyed my life. My wife giving me an ultimatum was the only thing that finally woke me up and convinced me to get help.

Damn that's a tough one. I mean I was way into games but back then like an hour, two hours was a lot of time spent gaming to me. We didn't have crazy-ass time sinks like online shooters where 100 hours is still training mode either.

My coworker's son went nuts on him one time and attacked him for hiding the router to get him to stop playing (Fortnite). Kid threw a fucking controller at his head and apparently went full Exorcist. No more console and therapy was the result. Wild

Finally got one today. Best Buy had some in store and my wonderful husband went and got the last disc model this morning.

Very convenient to have him working from home when I work nights and sleep the day away.

Awesome. Ignore my question in the other thread.
