Making his debut at the top of the MGT leaderboard is Commissar SFLUFAN!  Some prescient answers and a stumble by our two time leader puts him in a strong position heading into the final stretch of the regular season.  Can he hold on?

 

Get ready for a truncated Week 12 as the usual questions are replaced by the traditional Thanksgiving questions!

 

########## WEEK 11 RESULTS ##########

 

Week 11 Feature Game - N.Y. Giants(+11.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Even an 11.5 point line couldn't save the Giants from getting rolled on their trip to Tampa by a score of 22.5(10+11.5)-30.  Bets on the Bucs win.

 

QUESTIONS

1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Giants TD, Giants FG, Giants safety, Bucs TD, Bucs FG, Bucs safety, or other? ($1,000 for the correct call)
Brady hits Godwin on a short pass taken 13 yards to the house for the first score in this contest.  Bucs TD is the call.
 

2) Moving the sticks: Which team in the Feature Game will convert the higher percentage of 3rd downs? ($700 for the correct team)
Tampa converted nearly half of it's 3rd down tries at 46%, while New York only converted a dismal 11% of it's attempts at the same.  
 

3) Name any QB that will be sacked 4 or more times in Week 11. ($1,000 for a correct name)
Four quarterbacks (Huntley, Prescott, Wilson, and Ryan) ate dirt 4 or more times in Week 11.  If you called one you got it.  But nobody did.
 

4) How many field goals will be scored in the Colts @ Bills game? ($700 for the right answer)
Two.  With a score like this you'd think there were more, but no, two is the call.

 

5) Call the winners:
Cincinnati at Las Vegas
New Orleans at Philadelphia
Washington at Carolina
($700 for EACH correctly named game winner, $1,500 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)
BasemntDweller2 was the only player to nail all 3 games and hit the bonus!

 

6) Name any running back that will have a single run of 50 or more yards in Week 11. ($1,000 a correct name)
D'Andre Swift ripped off a 57 yarder during Detroit's loss to Cleveland, being the only RB in Week 11 to crack the 50 mark on a single run.
 

7) Will the first TD in the Dallas @ Kansas City game be a running or a receiving touchdown? ($700 for the right team)
A rare rush by Travis Kelce on a direct snap for 4 yards was the first TD in this game.  Running is the call.

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in week eleven. ($2,000 for each player named correctly, $6,000 bonus if both names are called)
Jonathan Taylor again leads all running backs with 185 yards while Justin Jefferson caught 169 yards through the air to be your Week 11 yardage winners. Several people called Taylor because why wouldn't you and nobody called Jefferson.

(Remember you are betting against the spread, not just the outright winner)
 

QUESTIONS

A Thanksgiving tradition in the MGT, this week we give thanks for the players that bring us the touchdowns that we love to see every week!

 

As always, remember that we're looking for the guy holding the ball in the end-zone; don't name the QB unless you think the first TD will be a rushing TD by them.

 

1) Name the player that will score the first touchdown of the Feature Game. ($2,000)
 

2) Name the player that will score the first touchdown of the Chicago @ Detroit game. ($2.000)
 

3) Name the player that will score the first touchdown of the Las Vegas @ Dallas game. ($2,000)

 
4) Name the player that will score the first touchdown of the Buffalo @ New Orleans game. ($2,000)
 

5) Name the player that will score the first touchdown of the Cleveland @ Baltimore game. ($2,000)

Apologies for the late post, y'all.  It's been crazy busy at work this week preparing for the holiday.  Hopefully all of you get a chance to make your entries before the early football week kicks off.  Remember the first game is EARLY tomorrow.  Good luck to you all!
