The longest season in NFL history kicks off with a weekend full of action and a crazy-go-nuts finish on Monday Night!  Our first leaderboard of the year is set with AbsolutSurgen coming out swinging, winning his bet and being the only player to nail a couple of the questions.  But as everyone knows the crown is never stable.  Will he be able to hold fast?  On to Week 2!

 

########## WEEK 1 RESULTS ##########

 

Week 1 Feature Game - Chicago Bears at L.A. Rams (-7.5)
Sean McVay keeps his Rams Week 1 undefeated streak alive, with L.A. beating the Chicago by a score of 26.5(34-7.5)-14.  Bets on the Rams win.
 

QUESTIONS
1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Bears TD, Bears FG, Bears safety, Rams TD, Rams FG, Rams safety, or other? ($200 for the correct call)
4 and a half minutes into the 1st quarter sees Matt Stafford dropping a 67 yard TD pass to Jefferson for the first score of this blowout.  Rams TD is the call.
 

2) How many interceptions will be thrown in the Feature Game? ($300 for the correct call)
Andy Dalton threw the game's lone interception.  One is the answer.  AbsolutSurgen was the only players to get it.
 

3) How many penalties will be thrown and accepted in the feature game? ($300 for the correct call)
Seven penalties were thrown in the game with two of them being declined.  5 is the correct call here.
 

4) Which team will score LAST in the Week 1 match-up between the Seahawks and the Colts?  ($100 for the correct call)
Wentz hits Pascal for an 11 yard TD pass in the 4th quarter to finish the scoring for the day, but it wasn't enough to lift them over the Seahawks.
 

5) Call the winners:
Arizona at Tennessee
Jacksonville at Houston
L.A. Chargers at Washington
($200 for EACH correct named game winner, $400 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)
The Cards, Texans and Chargers take their games.  A few players got 2/3 but nobody called all 3 to earn the bonus.
 

6) How many total points will be scored in the Dallas @ Tampa Bay game, Thursday night? 0-10, 11-24, 25-36, 37-45, or 46-55 or 55+ ($200 for the correct guess)
In a surprisingly close opener, Tampa Bay puts down Dallas by a score of 31-29.  55+ is the call that nobody made.
 

7) Name the player who will score the first touchdown of the Baltimore @ Las Vegas game (by "score" we mean "the player holding the ball in the end-zone; don't name a QB unless you are guessing a rushing TD by them) ($300 for the correct answer)
Ty'son Williams gets the first touchdown of the game and his career on a 35 yard run out of the shotgun with the Ravens going for it on 4th down!  Nobody got this one.
 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in week one. ($800 for each player named correctly, $2,000 bonus if both names are called)
Joe Mixon lead all rushers in Week 1 with 127 yards on the ground while Tyreek Hill pulled down 197 yards through the air to lead the receivers. Nobody called Mixon, and AbsolutSurgen was the only player to call Hill.

New York Giants at Washington Football Team (-3.5)
(Remember you are betting against the spread, not just the outright winner)

1) What will be the first scoring play of the Feature Game? Giants TD, Giants FG, Giants safety, Football Team TD, Football Team FG, Football Team safety, or other? ($300 for the correct call)

 

2) How many field goals (not PATs) will be scored Feature Game? ($300 for the correct call)

 

3) Which team in the Feature Game will have the most rushing yards by a Quarterback? ($200 for the correct call)

 

4) Going deep: Name the QB that will have the longest completed pass in week 2, counting only the air distance?  ($500 for the correct call)

 

5) Call the winners:
San Francisco at Philadelphia
Buffalo at Miami
New Orleans at Carolina
($200 for EACH correct named game winner, $400 bonus if you call all 3 correctly)
 

6) Name the highest AND lowest scoring teams in Week 2. ($200 for EACH correct answer)

 

7) Over or under 48.5 total points in the Detroit @ Green Bay game on MNF? ($200 for the correct guess)

 

8) Name the player who will rush for the most yards AND the player that will have the most receiving yards in week two. ($800 for each player named correctly, $2,000 bonus if both names are called)
