  1. Can we please give @Fizzzzlethe title ‘Resident Film Critic’ as I’m thoroughly enjoying his reviews. @Commissar SFLUFAN @Kal-El814
  2. Does ES:O just play like Skyrim if it was all one giant side quest? I’ve never touched an MMO so have zero idea about gameplay etc.
  3. It’s horrific that this is happening today, equally horrific how long this has been happening.
  4. Spider-Man: Far From Home My brain tells me it was shit, but my heart says I really enjoyed it. C+ (but really a B-). I also watched the first 30 minutes of Page 8, and whilst so far it’s not as clever as it wants to be, Bill Nighy and Michael Gambon have been decent. Will watch the rest tomorrow.
  5. I’m glad to see this thread has a lovely, positive spin about it. I am however disappointed this isn’t an open discussion about our favourite cereals.
  6. I want to change the way that I spend my free time. At the moment I spend it either playing games, watching television (new and reruns), reading, parenting and exercising. I think that if I take out the watching element (which bar the odd great film or television programme isn’t that fulfilling) will hopefully provide me more scope to do other things, or increase or improve the quality of my current pursuits. I just find that in the morning, I’ll watch television for maybe 45-60 minutes, mostly the news and then a few hours in the evening. I just wonder how I’d fill that time if I had to.

    Hey there

This thread reminds me that at 9:10am on Wednesday, I’ll be one dose down.
  8. I went for a walk the other day with my wife, daughter and dog and as happens on a walk, we were chatting. Some background to this discussion - we have an allotment that we use to grow some vegetables and herbs as a bit of fun. I asked whether we would ever be able to get to the point of being self sufficient and how we’d achieve that. That led to a more realistic discussion about aiming to be carbon neutral in the near future (or as close to it as we could be) and wha would need to happen for that. This led me to query whether we should try a period of time where we unsubscribe from any streaming and video game apps, limit television to something we both agree on and where possible, try to stop using electricity except for essentials. Now, with an 8 month old some of that is not possible, but I am very tempted to remove any streaming services, just to see how I would spend my extra 3 hours or so a day, maybe more. Have you ever made a significant lifestyle change at all, any successes?

    Hey there

So you have 100% knowledge of every component of everything you ingest, daily? That sounds exhausting but well done on having that level of care and discipline towards your own health. Really inspiring stuff.
  10. I keep sitting on the fence about picking up Smash Ultimate. I loved the first game on the N64 and really liked Melee, didn’t care for Brawl and then fell off Smash U after a few weeks, mainly because becoming decent online felt unobtainable.
  11. Not a Lyn album, but I have been listening to Dungeons and Daddies and it’s just phenomenal. It would be an ultimate podcast to throw on in a game with a ridiculous number of side quests to carry both along nicely.
  12. The fact i mostly liked HZD leads me to feel...not that excited about this. It’ll be a game I’ll buy for my wife and watch with a surly look on my face from the sofa.
  13. I’m up to chapter 15 on FF7 and although I’ve just picked up a few side quests...I may just ignore them and carry on with the mainline quest. Update: I woke up stupidly early this morning and ended up completing all but the music side quest. I used a guide so it was more of a case of read, go, murder things, return quest item.
  14. I still love that song and bought the single when it was released. Also, The Green Goblin is still top tier marvel villain so bring it on.
  15. I haven’t touched the series in a good 10 years...but it’s definitely in my top 5. Gears 2 still remains my favourite action game to this day.
  16. Mentioned it to a group of kids on computers. Two loved it, one didn’t get it. Decent strike rate.
  17. A wonderful alignment of username and content.
  18. Question - how good is the Dragon Quest game on the Switch? I’m kind of feeling a JRPG and either want to pick up the FFX hd bundle, this or maybe something else. Looking for feedback.
  19. I’ll give Squadrons a go, the other two are fairly unknown to me - so they’ll get the library, never download treatment.
  20. It’s almost funny they’ve let Cummings have this platform. A spin doctor who is allowed to be entirely candid about the last year of a government which have recently sacked him. On brighter news, I get my first dose next Wednesday.
