I tried 3 out last year (after wanting to play through all the games on PS2) and whilst not awful, it feel archaic. Vice City through nostalgia alone is a fun game.

The only Quake games I’ve played were the Quake 2 iteration on the N64 (really enjoyed - never finished) and Quake 3 (the browser version). I’d be happy with a reboot.

We’re moving into shampoo bars and soap to save on one use plastic. I’m not sure if I’ve replied in this thread but I’m a sweaty fuck so need to shower at least once a day.

Late to the party (stock response for bumping a thread). Spoilers for those who haven’t touched the game.

Daughter went to bed stupidly early (score one for a day of tiny naps and being asleep by 6pm). Wife insisted I put on RE:Village and we played through two lords on the bounce, if we get a similar situation tomorrow might see if we can get the game finished tomorrow depending on how long is left.

I’m looking at either the Switch Pro which costs the same as a new game or the Hori pad which is £20, reviews well but has zero extra functionality. Worth spending the cash for when I (eventually) buy some co-op games or something a bit more serious.

I’m one week away from the highest peak of immunity - I look forward to getting my booster and flu vaccine in due course.

I played a good 20 hours of the Wii version (on the Wii U). I should give it another go as it was an equal blend of fun and ‘what am I supposed to do now’.

Went to a shop to trade in some games and after umming and ahhing about whether to get Skyward Sword or 3D all stars decided against both and will have a browse online. I just couldn’t rationalise buying games I own, just updated.

First main area finished - very fun/ran to be save room any time things got a bit intense.

Village is awesome. So far it feels the same as 7, but the setting is wonderful. It may just be my memory, but it doesn’t look quite as good as the 2 and 3 remakes, at least so far.

How could they have got around it?

Went rogue and bought RE: Village on PS4. Once the baby is asleep, me and my wife will give it a go. Might play the game after that

Spiritfarer continues to be a game that just delivers. Considering it’s essentially a game about crafting and side quests, it does it in a wonderful (and addictive) way.

Don’t listen to the above, Bad Cartridge is an incredibly racist phrase and we’d all had enough.

I played a bit of Dark Souls after about 6 months (plus) if not touching it. I’m trying to decide whether I actually want to finish it, or if I just feel like I should. I’m in Darkroot Basin making my way to Sif, so I’ll see how I fare and then decide from there. I've also played more Spiritfarer which is great and it’s such a fun loop, with that decision about what task to focus on. Lastly, I downloaded Pokemon Unite which was perfectly OK. I’ve never played a MOBA and I was hoping for more layers than the game seemingly offers, but it wasn’t rubbish. I’m also in the ‘might buy Skyward Sword’ camp - I’ve played half the game and found it OK, but I feel handheld mode could be a game changer.

I’m not telling you what to do - but please play through all the FF games in order and leave impressions. It’s so far been an enjoyable journey to follow.
