While training in Sacramento for my job I was running WoW on a Surface. The times I checked I was averaging 40 frames on low/medium settings, dipping to 20s in high populated areas. I'm fairly confident in saying that anything with a dedicated GPU will do just fine.

Yeah I said I’d change after I unlocked them. I assumed you’d still have to grind for it. Screw them then, humans have a better pvp racial ?.

PC Tech Do you own a mechanical keyboard?
Nokt replied to GeneticBlueprint's topic in PC/Mac Technical and PCCB
Probably get crucified for saying this, but I have the blackwidow x chroma. Its an interesting keyboard. No overall shield over the keys, just an aluminum body. I really enjoy it, but I got it on sale for $75 bucks. I’ve been thinking of buying a ducky or something because I bought from hyper light drifter keys and they don’t fit my board currently. -
https://us.shop.battle.net/en-us/product/world-of-warcraft-service-race-change More expensive than I thought it was. Ugh. Should have saved my 110 level.

Probably just going to pay for a race change when I unlock them. I have absolutely no interest in leveling a new character

I don’t think we have a thread for this, though I don’t think a ton of people are playing it. I main an ally DK on Tichondrius, but have a few horde characters on kil'jaeden. Still leveling to 120 currently, I was trying to grind for a void elf before the expansion dropped. I still think it’s dumb you have to become exalted to gain access to the new races.

General Gaming What are you playing today?
Nokt replied to CastlevaniaNut18's topic in The Spawn Point
I bought Battle for Azeroth. Joined my old guild from cata. Did some wpvp, good times. Hopefully I stick around a little longer than I did with legion. -
I'm in Sacramento right now for training. Had to buy a tide pod to do my laundry at the hotel and the lady at the counter was taking call after call of people looking for a hotel room because their house was evacuated and now the hotel they were currently at is being evacuated. Also ash is everywhere. I cleaned out one of the trucks because we were having a slow day and by the next day the little gray specs were all over the truck again.

General Gaming How often do you replay your single-player games?
Nokt replied to Spork3245's topic in The Spawn Point
Its pretty random and sporadic for me, but if I had to put a guess I'd probably say once or twice a year. When I was younger I'd run through my favorite games once or twice a year. Anything from like N64 - Xbox 360 if I really enjoyed playing it there was a good chance that I'd play it at least twice. As I've gotten older though thats slowed down a lot. As much as I loved Nier Automata, I bought it on the xbox to take out to Cali with me for my 4 week training and I just can't dig into it at all. I've been trying to replay Metro 2033 as well to get hyped for Exodus and again, it just doesn't click. There are some games that I will run through twice, but it just really depends. I make some times for older games from time to time though. MMBN, FF7, OoT, just really big personal favorites I get an itch to play every once in awhile. -
Just hit up the dude that spent 1200 hours reverse engineering it

I actually like my airpods a lot, but if I had to venture a guess. Quality wireless headsets probably are costlier than their wired counterparts (I don't have any proof for this, its just a guess) Wireless can have latency when watching shows or movies for long periods of time Some devices cannot use wireless (see Switch) You don't have to worry about batteries or battery life. Its plug and play. Depending on the connection to charge you could be carrying an extra cable anyways just to charge it.

It was actually surprising to me how much better my cable management got when I swapped from the Carbide 500R to the Meshify C. Dunno if it was just my lack of experience and never cleaning it up or if the Meshify just handles in better.

I think it was more Goichi's reaction to it rather than the actual break. I've seen breaks happen in finals resets before, its not common, but its not super uncommon either. He definitely got upset at the situation and just wanted to continue, Sonicfox wanted to swap seats (I think). I mean if I have a preference, I'd probably ask too. Either way its disrespectful on Sonicfox's part. Evo shouldn't have taken that long to figure out the situation either.

Did not see sonicfox pulling that off. He got handled first set.

Have you ever had a roommate who was a stranger? (not counting that #Dormlife)
Nokt replied to johnny's topic in The Shower
That sounds absolutely horrible. My situation never got quite that bad luckily. -

I’ve moved out with a buddy of mine several times and we “get” each other. We don’t step on toes, don’t create problems, we just hang and make life easier on each other. The one time I move out with another friend he turned out to be doing hardcore drugs, constantly late on rent, complained about the most minor inconveniences, the list goes on. It pretty much turned me off of wanting to move out with other people. I now have a very short list of people that I’d move out with and otherwise would rather just spend my time alone. Having strangers move in seems like a crap shoot on who you’re going to get and I’d rather not deal with it. That’s just me though. -
Consumer Technology General photography
Nokt replied to mach250's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
I haven't really dug into photography as much as I wanted to, but I usually take my gear whenever I go on a trip or get in the mood to go take some shots This is from my latest outing. Its heavily edited and I think I messed up the focus just a tad, but pretty happy for my second attempt. I was reading a thread about compiling images together to help remove grain, I might give that a go next time. Gear: Sony A6000 Sigma 30mm F2.8 Rokinon 12mm F2.0 Sony E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3 -
General Gaming No Man's Sky adding full multiplayer experience in next update
Nokt replied to Pikachu's topic in The Spawn Point
I bought the game on GMG since it was 50% off with a 10% discount ($27.99). I figured I'd give it another go for fun. Maybe its closer to what I wanted it to be when it first came out. -

I totally forgot about this. I think my surface can run it so maybe thats what I'll play for the next little while. -
General Gaming How is Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice?
Nokt replied to best3444's topic in The Spawn Point
Its a walking simulator with some combat sprinkled in. Great atmosphere, story, sound design, and setting. Its also got some little side quest lore tidbits that you can explore and find. I think average playthrough is about 8 hours. I highly recommend it, but also would note that its not for everyone. -
I gave up sugar (for the most part) two months back. I struggled for a bit with diet coke and then started drinking coke zero, such a better tasting drink.

I was over at a buddies house last night and was pretty bored. I hopped on his computer and played a few rounds of Fortnite, but was having a hard time adjusting without my mouse. So I started digging through Steams F2P. Downloaded Paladins and had a crap load of fun, even made the two other guys there play a round or two and they really enjoyed it too. We all downloaded it when we got home and thats what we are doing now.
