  1. I also enjoyed the Big Team games more. The 4v4 maps just all felt too small. But that’s from a guy who thought 4v4 in the original blood gulch was perfect. Over the years Halo got more and more frantic which I personsonally didn’t enjoy. The slow pace was something unique to halo that I enjoyed. The big team battles kinda let you do both. You can charge in and go all crazy melee happy. Or you can hang back to the edges and try to pick your spots. all in all there’s nothing mind blowing about this but that’s a good thing I think. I just want my Halo MP to feel like Halo.
  2. Amazon just renewed it for Season 3 already so unless this enters all time mega Bomb territory I don’t think they care and we’re gonna get this story.
  3. This board is like a ticking time bomb. You can literally hear the veins throbbing in dudes heads echoing off their moms wood paneled basement walls when they’ve gone too long without sharing their completely unintelligible opinions on modern Star Wars.
  4. No not that part. Although I could do some mental gymnastics where you could insert Batman into the Blade Runner world and it would be pretty damn cool and still work. I mean the part where he says that the majority of Superhero movies are shit covered in glittery exploding paint
  5. That fact that you posted the original controller in the context of “FYI in case you weren’t born yet” makes me feel incredibly old lol
  6. Fusion Frenzy on the OG Xbox. There was a game in the demo my roommates and I played to death. Turned out it was the only fun game in the entire collection lol
  7. Played another couple hours. This game is stupid fun. Figured out how to get my mount which was pretty rewarding. Riding around stabbing fools is soooo fun lol. Also once you get it you can kinda just explore the open world and feel pretty safe as you can out run almost everything(not everything 👀) on it. Ive found two mini dungeons. One was super straightforward with just a couple hallways and a boss. The other had some cool fire traps and looped around. In a DS1 sorta way. Both fun, both had really useful rewards. I like the spirit summoning. It’s a blast to summon a bunch of wolves to keep a boss busy while you launch magic missles or run around back stabbing it. It hasn’t even occurred to me to actually follow the main path yet lol. Gonna try and play for the full 3 hours tonight and do more of the main “quest”. Can’t wait for the full game to come out.
  8. Lol I don’t disagree with anything in this post and yet… Red Notice - 8/10 😂 I had the same feelings after this as I had after Tomorrow War or whatever that Chris Pratt Prime movie was. The plot was so aggressively generic/predictable/nonsensical/bad and yet the performances(especially Gadot) and the production were great and some how I loved it despite saying “lol wtf” to myself at least half a dozen times. National Treasure/Indiana Jones this is not. But god damn am I praying for a sequel 😂
  9. Just him doing nerd stuff. Like when he built his mega gaming PC during Covid lol
  10. If The Rock is the Peoples Action Star. Henry Cavill is becoming The Nerds Action Star lol. Might as well cast him as Goliath in the Gargoyles movie and have him get a whole series of Discworld movies/shows green lit for him to Star in.
  11. Played for about an hour this morning and really enjoyed it. It’s def a Souls game and plays like a souls game with jumping. But I choose a magic knight character so the other might play different. The world def gives off a Breath of the Wild feel in that there’s tons of “ohh that looks like something/cool” and you go check it out and there’s pretty much always something to find. I both wanted to just wander around and felt rewarded for doing so. There’s a great new mechanic where you get 1 estus restored after defeating a group of enemies(groups can be as small as 2). Which is great because it’s not like you’re tripping over rest points and it’s nice to no have to be forced to reset all the enemies in the world after stumbling onto one boss. Still haven’t figured out how to get the mount, although I suspect it might have to do with killing a mounted mini boss near the beginning. But I’m suuuuper rusty at these games so I haven’t been able to kill him yet. Overall I’m really loving it so far and can’t wait for the next window to open.
  12. Well you can’t accuse Amazon of not being 100% behind this show. They’re doing a staggering amount of advertising for it.
  13. Sits patiently waiting for them to do Full Metal Alchemist(is fully aware of the hilariously awful one that already exists)
  14. I grew up Episcopalian(catholic without the guilt) and those depictions of a church service in the first few episodes are the most accurate I’ve ever seen on screen.
  15. Count me in for a rare North American invite!!! Just got the email an hour ago. Id post a pic of the invite but I have no idea how to post pictures here 😂
  16. That’s the exact process normal restaurants use when they make their own fries. If you don’t cook them once and then freeze them you’re not going to get any crisp on them and they’ll be kinda limp no matter what you do.
  17. Steak fries are the best when they’re cooked properly(slightly well done) if they’re undercooked they’re the absolute worst though. It’s a fine line. Curly fries suck no matter what.
  18. About halfway through The Dragon Reborn. The middle of this is starting to drag a bit but I’m still enjoying it. Wanna get it finished before the show starts because I read it pulls things from the first 3 episodes. Also rereading The Sandman Vol 2 while listening to the second audio performance at the same time. Absolutely incredible. This is by far my favorite multi media experience of the year.
  19. It’s reached that point where each subsequent episode is surpassing the last. The Invictus stuff was great (loved the Event Horizon vibes it gave off) and the Empire stuff, good lord.
  20. Yeah in the Rundown he has a no guns rule and does a lot of “disarming and dismantling” of them. But in the last scene he’s forced to use them to save Stiffler. Complete with dual wielding shotguns which he flips and pumps under his armpits before flipping make and wiping out some more fools. He goes full Rambo at the end lol
