  1. Yeah agreed. Those parts were flawlessly done as well. Episode 3 deviates a bunch but it was def my favorite of the 3 episodes so far. Curious to here what you think.
  2. What a fucking finale. Holy shit. I legit have not been this excited about or invested in a show probably since Game of Thrones. From where it started with “well this world is at least pretty I won’t mind spending some time in it” to “omg wtf is going on this is amazing what’s happening next” 😂😂 amazing show and I literally can’t wait for season 2. And yeah, that’s gotta be the most savage punishment in the history of media.
  3. When Moraine tells the story of Monetherane(no idea how to spell that)…yeah they had me all in after that.
  4. I would agree with this almost exactly. Personally im enjoying the music more than most it seems haha. I also really enjoyed Thom’s song. That’s something I was really really hoping they’d so since in the book such a big deal is made of songs for entertainment but you only ever get the names of them(for the most part). Agreed about the humor, the few attempts at it made me chuckle a bit. That’s got to a be a tough balancing act for them. For a TV show you want to have some kind of levity but there really isn’t much from the books for them to go off since no one is really written to be funny. Sorta Mat but not really. Also agree about the CGI, I completely do not understand anyone complaining about it. Looks good to me 🤷🏻‍♂️ The effect they’re using to represent the One Power is outstanding IMO. Like you said, overall I’m most excited that so far this FEELS right. It’s such a balancing act to not make people think oh this is just a LoTR, Game of Thrones, hell even Witcher rip off. But this feels unique from them so far. The one thing I’m still worried about is pacing and the season only being 8 episodes. It feels like they’re teetering on the edge of moving too fast but haven’t yet.
  5. Keep going. The kids don’t have much to do for the first episode and a half. But the latter half of episode two and all of episode 3 they’re isolated with each other a bit more. So you get less of them just running and more time for them to actually talk and play off each other. Personally I’m very much enjoying the music. Nothing particularly of note to describe other than I do enjoy it. And these stories are filled with soooo many different cultural influences that honestly no style of music really will feel out of place. Each episode I’ve enjoyed more than the previous so far with 3 being head and shoulders the best IMO. Every change I think had made sense, I almost trust the show enough to stop worrying about what might be different haha.
  6. Cheesy Gordita Crunch is the goat Taco Bell item IF it’s made properly. But you’ve got about the same odds of getting one made fresh as you do getting fresh salted fries from McDonalds. Also the spicy potato soft taco off the dollar menu is not to be overlooked.
  7. First episode was good. I didn’t feel that particular episode was rushed. There’s def a good number of changes and for the most part I think they make sense. Overall I enjoyed the first episode, excited to see the next two
  8. Covenant, now there’s an utter piece of trash no one asked for. How do you do a sequel to Prometheus and it’s NOT about Shaw and David’s journey or what happens when they get there. F U Ridley. That being said, once more for the people in the back…Prometheus is fucking fantastic!
  9. I watched Prometheus again this morning. IDGAF what anyone says. That movie is great.
  10. Yeah you move slow as hell with the ball so it should be one hit kill if you’re dumb enough to get too close. it’s been awhile since I played a Halo but didn’t they add in execution animations when you melee’d someone from behind at one point? I miss that
  11. Exactly. Although it will be super interesting to see how it plays out since the first book is very much like Fellowship on purpose. And then later you’ll get to the literal inspiration for Game of Thrones. So I’m curious how they handle those two parts.
  12. That sounds similar to how they’re ending The Last Kingdom. There’s a similar natural stopping point. Although that show is getting a movie which I presume will take care of the later books that the show is skipping.
  13. We need some kind of special holiday to just sit back and appreciate DiCaprio at this point.
  14. Well they’ve said they’re will be things included from as far as book 3. That they’re not just straight up adapting the story from the books as is, they’re pulling stuff in from different places if they think it works. As far as pacing stuff, it’s certainly possible. But some of those reviews say it goes too fast and some say too slow. So as with any weekly release show, I think pacing can’t really be judged until you see the season in its entirety.
  15. I also enjoyed the Big Team games more. The 4v4 maps just all felt too small. But that’s from a guy who thought 4v4 in the original blood gulch was perfect. Over the years Halo got more and more frantic which I personsonally didn’t enjoy. The slow pace was something unique to halo that I enjoyed. The big team battles kinda let you do both. You can charge in and go all crazy melee happy. Or you can hang back to the edges and try to pick your spots. all in all there’s nothing mind blowing about this but that’s a good thing I think. I just want my Halo MP to feel like Halo.
  16. Amazon just renewed it for Season 3 already so unless this enters all time mega Bomb territory I don’t think they care and we’re gonna get this story.
